DLC Beta test

Post » Sat Feb 27, 2016 6:51 pm

As I did not find an official forum category for this, I will ask here.

For those that opted in to beta test the DLC, how will the members that are chosen be notified? I get a lot of emails from this forum and other Beth channels so it could easily get missed. Just wanted to be sure I didn't miss the invite!

thanks!

Taken from the dlc sign up "success" page

Success! You're registered for the Fallout 4 DLC Beta! If you’re selected, your unique Beta code will be sent via email, so please keep an eye on your inbox. We’ll also have Fallout 4 DLC updates on Twitter, Facebook, and Bethesda.net, so check there for more information as well.

Increase your chances of being selected by signing up to receive news and updates from your https://account.bethesda.net/en/settings/general account profile settings.

If I am not mistaken it seems the form we filled out said if you are selected you will receive a access code via email.

grr. I guess I need to turn off these forum emails and the other ones from Beth. I'm getting like 20 a day from them!

I assume if we are not a chosen one, that we would not receive anything.

the public beta's are open for discussion, do you think the closed tests are? Surely someone would've bragged by now if it is running and they were so lucky!

I would assume a closed beta like this will fall under a NDA.

Just a performance tweak, assuming you also signed up for the game beta. (And just not the dlc)

It wouldn't happen automatically. With steam you need to right click on the game, and enter a beta key which you'd receive in an email. Then the option to switch to this would appear in the "Opt In" drop down box.
