You serious?

Personally I'm hoping for a crappy crappy DLC, with tons of bugs and a bad story.

Seriously, what's wrong with horse armor?

There's nothing inherently wrong with being able to put armor on your horse. I think the general issue with Horse Armor was that it wasn't worth paying for on its own; RPG Developers (including Bethesda) have released similar and also more worthwhile content for no charge in the past.

I found Dead Money a hit and miss. So it wasn't bad but at the same time it is. I won't go over the details as I have before and so have others.

I feel Honest Hearts will be much better.

Of coarse Dead Money had a lot to do with preference. It wasn't for everyone. Along with the botched attempt at horror.

This has also been beaten to death and gone over in numerous podcssts and interviews.

Bethesda with their Oblivion DLC were really the guinnea pigs for DLC on the 360 marketplace. They looked over numerous price points. Horse armor was priced the way it was due to people buying avatar packs and other things a the same price(Also crappy purchases.)

And as they experimented they tried that to Knights of the Nine to a $30 expansion pack.

Then for Fallout 3 they settled on the $10 price point for small to medium "well done and high quality" packs.

The real crime is Shivering Isles was the last real expansion pack for the console marketplace.

The only scary thing in dead monkey was the holograms, the dunwitch building in F03 was way scarier and fun. I didn't find dead zombie to be any fun at all to me it is just a game to piss someone off

The Cthulu callbacks were entertaining. Overall Fallout 3 was very bleak and gave off a slight horror feel due to it always being in that mindset.

I can see Avellone liked The Pitt(He talks about it so I assume he liked it as much as me. And also thought why the hell they didn't buff it up instead of using the resources on Operation: Anchorage and Zeta.) and it was used -slightly- to determine the mood of Dead Money.

On his blog he mentioned the attempt at horror, although not as you might imagine it.

It didn't work out. Other elements like the story shone though. Not thay it didn't have its inconsistencies.

And it's too bad at the end of the day after the DLC the main game is still purely Static and oblivious.

Dead Monkey?
Dead Zombies?
Ghost People are mutated humans who have been changed by the cloud, they are wearing the hazmat suits that they were issued when the gas leaks occurred.

I never found the Dunwich building that scary to be honest. Probably because I ran in yelling like a mad man blowing zombie heads off with the terrible shotgun, spraying zombie brains all over the walls. Not sure what it is about yelling like Arnold, but it makes things less scary.

Dunwich also has the subtlety of a sledgehammer to the face. Yeah Bethesda, you like Lovecraft, that's great.

It's unfortunate that the ones who can't be pleased seem to be the most vociferous. Unfortunate because the rest of us have to deal with it.

Yeah sure, if you forget the glowing eyes, creepy noises, super agility, and the whole "can't be killed until dismembered thing" then yeah I guess it's a ghoul. A ghoul in a hazmat suit that's permanently stuck on it's body.

Wait, is this reaper guy not a troll?
Or is he in 2nd grade?

I just can't tell with that grammar.

Dead Money is my favorite Fallout DLC by far. It was designed in a way to make the game challenging to anyone, even those at max level. Plus IF YOU TAKE YOUR TIME, you'll find all sorts of backstory info in the terminals and journals lying around Sierra Madre. If you rush through, it can't be helped that you get pwned by everything and their grandmother.

i just hated them taking your weapons away :( i spent a couple days scrounging the wastes for over 10,000 Mf cells and About 50 Weapon repair kits and had to get Gannon family tesla armor and my trusty Multiplas Rifle And Tri-Beam all to get me living like a tribal yelling in joy when i found a stimpack and using a spear and rifle that had about 20 bullets in it at any given time

Dead Money was intended to be a survival game, hence the armor/weapon confiscation. I think the rewards are pretty good: Holorifle+++, BAR, Police Pistols, Cosmic Knives, The highest DT light armor, and your own personal vending machine! What's not to love?
The speakers, collars, and the cloud, are supposed to make you think. It's a puzzle.

Exactly. I loved it! It had more than enough stuff, didn't need anymore than that. Otherwise what's the point in other DLCs? The story was great, the music was intriguing, the characters were fascinating and the challenge was spectacular! With all my equipment, it would have been a chicken shoot. Limited challenge and thus, kinda boring.

The survival aspect of Dead Money I found to be the most interesting experience of the game. To go from having practically nothing to being a heavily armed assassin! There were many surprises and some good mysteries that made me contemplate.

Don't forget Elijah he was an enemie too. and even your partners were kinda counter productive at times...

lol this made me laugh

The OP has a problem with the difficulty. Chris Avellone said he watched peoples first play throughs on u tube, and their players reactions were just what he was aiming for.

That makes me think this Avellone guy isn t afraid to challenge players in many different ways.

The story was good, you had followers they had good stories. I felt in danger almost the whole time, this is what alot of people look for.

DEAD MONEY WAS DEAD ON THE MONEY.

DON T LISTEN TO THIS KID OBSIDIAN, TURN IT UP A FEW MORE NOTCHES. MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I MAY NOT MAKE IT.

MAKE ME QUESTION IF I CAN GET IT DONE OR NOT.

OP you don t even know what hard is.
