To bring back to Mojave Wasteland?
Legion companions.
Maybe not strictly Legion as in Legion or no one but all new companions has to be Legion acceptable.
Legion playthrough already excludes 4 of them.

And I've said it a couple of times but I want Dead Sea and Harland to be turned into companions.
I would also like Mean Son Of A [censored] to be a companion too.

Oh and: Lots of dialogue.
Love interest would just end up feeling very weird, like, with every character you are going to run out of dialogue at some point, so what happens after you've romanced the companion? She/He would go back to like it was before with maybe a new comment or two.
See no purpose to it really, fits in ME since it has pacing, doesn't in Fallout though.

And I'm for different companions but a Deathclaw is a no-no.
Intelligent Deathclaws are extinct, Talking Deathclaws are miles from the Mojave and it's surrounding area and the control device that Enclave has was developed on the east coast.
So I don't see how a Deathclaw could be a companion.

I'd like a Fire Gecko, one like in the old games with an oily like skin, as a companion.
Would be hard to swallow but still doable.

Definitely one loads of dialogue. Give them an interesting backstory and have them add to our knowledge of the Fallout Universe!

My second choice would be Snuffles the molerat. :disguise:

I hope not.

Anyway I want them to continue trying new stuff. Like Christine (mute dialogue) and Dog (multiple personalities).
Oh and I want a tribal companion.

A pro-Legion and a pro-House companion. Raul and Lily don't have a real preference. Veronica neither but Legion and House may be less logical because of their anti-BoS quests. Boone and Cass openly side with NCR and Arcade prefers independence. We really need some companions who want to side with House or the Legion. I think Victor may have been a House-companion in the beta phase, and maybe Ulysses for the Legion. Obviously they have chosen to remove them as companions but no other pro-Legion or pro-House followers have come in their place.

I would also like to see a 'tough guy' companion in a DLC. A bit like Desmond Lockheart, Charon or Jericho, maybe. Boone would fit the bill if he wasn't so depressing and lame. Maybe a Great Khan, that'd be sweet.

A little offtopic, but I think the Khans really don't get the attention they could've gotten in this game. It'd be fun to have the option of breaking the relation with the Legion, and uniting them with the Vault 19 Powder Gang (that's possible already), the NCRCF Powder Gang, the Fiends and the Jackals, Scorpions and Vipers. That'd create a tribe large enough to become a dominant faction, creating another main faction alongside the Legion, NCR and House.

Oh! And I want a pet feral ghoul. A couple of people have 'domesticated' them already, without them being ghouls themselves. The Surgeon in FO3 controls a Glowing One by installing a chip in him, and Mother Curie III from the Holy Light Monastery has a non-hostile Glowing One and a non-hostile Feral Ghoul Reaver.

I'd like to see a companion you can bring back with you after you're done with the DLC quest. As long as they're well written, the type doesn't matter much.

I voted for the loads of dialogue, cause there's a big chance that the companion's dialogue is going to be gold, and I love gold.

I like 2 and three, not so much the "deathclaw" but a unique companion. By unique I mean with an entirely different build/physique like a say slim though still muscular, extra tall super mutant; make him look very physically fit and agile, that is, without him looking like he weighs 10 tons.

I dont have a problem with them being standard races but at least make them more unique, like how Cheron was slightly taller/bigger than any other human/goul, or how Fawkes looked distinctively different than any other mutie. come on, i'd even go for a fat liability of a human.

Though i'd prefer a new creature altogether.

i kinda want something different then what we've already had, like, we've had super mutants, and ghouls for companions, i want something crazy, i put death claw cuz it was all i could think of as the moment, but something just completely crazy, something you can just look at. lol. like victor the robot! if he was a companion that would be awesome. ed-e counts as "different" companion. its something you just don't see.

I'd like Victor, Silus, and Dead Sea as possible companions. Victor for House who you can ask to help you with your goals, Silus for Legion, he decides to be your companion if you manage to help him escape Camp McCarren, and Dead Sea after the quest where you
Spoiler

Take Forlorn Hope

He decides you are a 'worthy ally' and asks to 'accompany you on your journeys.'

I would also like them to add Daniel from Van Buren, http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Daniel_(Van_Buren). I hope they consider this.

i think the game was suppost to have a lot more companions then it does, cuz i can think of a lot of people that you swear their a companion, until you understand they aren't... lol. (like neil, of example.) so hopefully they'll make them companions eventually.. maybe a dlc will bring that...

What I found really odd was that months before NV was released, The Vault wiki already listed Victor as a permanent companion, along with Raul. This was before the companions were officially announced, aside from Raul who was revealed in an earlier stage. I couldn't find any source as to why anyone would assume Victor was a companion and add him to the wiki, and later he didn't turn out to be one at all.

However, in some cases a 'waypoint' of Victor can be found on the map, just like with other companions, and sometimes when opening dialogue with Victor in certain situations you will open a non-responsive Companion Wheel. This all seems to point out he was indeed intended to be a permanent companion, and I can only guess someone inside Obsidian edited the Wiki to list Victor as a companion when he was still meant to be one. I can't recall them ever stating he would be one, but if that's the case it may be logical a regular user edited the wiki to list Victor as a permanent.

I would choose number 3 and base the whole DLC on getting an artifact for the companion but the area where the DLC would take place would be a desert version of Point Lookout but without the swamp or the Southern References.

I want a raider esque companion. Hes an old Jackal who spent some time as a decanus or Fumentari in Caeser's Legion. known to once be a cannibal you have to talk to him about his past and some regrets. May lead him to a more normal life(Maybe he becomes Lord of Dog City hehehe) or lead him to becoming a savage again. also his dialogue would glorify the raider life and maybe feel some sympathy. And talk of the atrocities of the NCR. Also he should have a personal vendetta with Colonel Moore.

@ Gan - Harland would be the ****. Harland would be the walking campfire perk.

I'd like to have my very own pet fire gecko or fire ant.

1. No cutesy animal companions
2. Need companions without never ending whining.
3. If a mutant companion, don't give them a mutant voice
4. A flirtatious companion would be nice (if a mature advlt perk was chosen)
