DLC on consoles

I know there has been deals between bethesda and microsoft in the past for DLC TES IV, fallout 3 and soon to be Fallout Vegas. What are the chances there is be fair distribution of DLC across all platforms this time???

I am sure the forum members have a crystal ball between them and can see about 18 months into the future and answer that for you. If you are expecting a reply from Bethesda you are not going to get one - heck, they haven't even released anything about the game yet apart from the name.

Simple answer: What are the chances that Microsoft will suddenly become advocates of fairness, and vow to stop using their massive resources to bully "lesser" companies by shoving truckloads of money around?

I sure hope so. I use both platforms anyway, but I still disagree with platform exclusive content for multiplatform games. Even if it is only timed. I'm guessing M$ will do their usual trick though, so history tells us :(.

If there is exclusive DLC that is never released on other platforms (as opposed to only one platform gets DLC, then 5 months later everyone else gets it), I won't buy the game. If it is delayed multi-platform DLC, then I'll shake my fist and just wait for a GotY (if TESV earns one).

EDIT: assuming, of course, that the DLC isn't more Horse Armor and house mods, in which case I can find better stuff made by the community.

It makes a difference for users when deciding what platform to buy it for. I've been playing TES since it was arena but I just think it sux that the PS3 didn't get the same content that the 360 did...that and the blood grass bug

If they do make sure its Disc based DLC as SCEE don't allow Disc and Downloadable at the same time. One or the other thats it. Bioware got the shaft with Dragon Age Awakenings in EU as it was download only no Disc version. SCEA not an issue. EU major problem!

My only gripe with DLC is make it DLC not an unlock code for content already on the ruddy disc!!

They should make the DownLoadable Content disc-based only? :)

I'm sure it will be the same thing it has been in the past. They will probably have DLC for PC and Xbox and then release it about a year later for PS3. I do wish it was otherwise. I think the PS3 is a better machine than the 360, but what are you going to do?

In other words, back to the expansion packs!

For the EU yes a disc only for DLC/expansion etc etc. If its on the PS store only its charged at full price period!! No deals ala normal shops selling cheaper.
