DLC's for this character?

Post » Tue Jun 18, 2013 2:38 pm

I decided since I'm role-playing that I try to fit the DLC's I do based on what the character would like or would 'fit' in with. I can already tell that I'll be running several types of characters in this game so I'll get to all the DLC's eventually.

So for this character, what DLC's fit best?

- Main skills are Guns, Lockpick, Repair, Sneak

- Minor skills are Barter, Medicine, Science, Speech

- Little or no use for Energy Weapons, Explosives, Melee Weapons, Survival, Unarmed

- Uses hand guns for close range, rifle for mid range, sniper for 'you never saw it coming'

- Prefers human companions, especially those similar to himself, Cass and Boone

- Light armor only and no automatic weapons

- Though he knows they have faults, prefers the NCR as opposed to other factions

If you have any other questions about him just ask. Since I haven't played any of the DLC I wouldn't know everything I needed to put down here.

Just as a Bonus here is my next character and I have the same question about her:

- Main skills are Energy Weapons, Science, Speech, Medicine

- Minor skills are Barter, Explosives, Lockpick, Repair, Sneak

- Little or no use for Guns, Melee Weapons, Survival, Unarmed

- Only uses Energy Weapon handguns. Runs from melee

- Prefers robots for companions or scientist

- Prefers peaceful options

On a side note my character after this will be a melee welding mad man using survivor skills. But more on him later. :D

Thanks.

Do all of them and roleplay your character in that situation.

Well I kind of wanted to save something new for the next characters to do rather than trying to do everything with one character.

That's Skyrim thinking.

All the DLCs have an interconnected story and multiple ways to complete them.

You can't do it all on one char.

Welcome to New Vegas.

For your guns character I would recommend Dead Money and Honest Hearts. They both have only human based followers. Dead Money can be challenging but the characters and overall story make the challenge worth taking and their is a pistol that you will find that with a high enough gun skill should do you very well (word of advise aim for the head).

Honest Hearts has some very interesting characters as well, and even though the story is either loved or hated depending on your personal view their is an awesome reward of both perhaps the best hand gun in the entire game and one of the best pieces of light armor based on what it can do, the DT it has and how much it weights.

Your Energy Weapon character will have a blast in Old World Blues as their are all kind of toys for a character of that build to find their. And Lonesome Road has a very awesome little eye-bot that you can find upgrades for as you travel along the road and if you know where to look. And even more amazing is that every upgrade you find is transmitted to ED-E (that little eye-bot you can fix in Prim) making ED-E even more bad***.

So because you don't want to play them all with the same character that is what I recommend for them. Enjoy the DLC's! :fallout:
