Dlc Idea: New High King

I disagree. The past duty of the Dragonborn emperor may have been to light the fires, it doesn't mean that was what gave him his right to rule. It's his/our divine connection to Akatosh himself that grants us our right to be emperor.

Also the Dragons may not care about the Thalmor but they must respect my thu'um as the strongest, as such they WILL do as I say. Just as they followed Alduin... heh

There's still the problem that making the DB into an Emperor will force the lore to recognize the DB as a certain race and gender, and many fans will be mad or confused about that.

It worked for the Shivering Isles because the daedra take many different forms at will, and the one we saw in Skyrim may just have been Sheogorath's "favorite" form. Or maybe he has no true form anymore.

Maybe, maybe not. As long as future lore only refers to the DB emperor as the 'DB emperor' or some other 'general' description like he descended from the north etc and the lore wont be forcing any specific 'race' on the player. There are after all all races present in the skyrim worldspace.

I just don't see how the Emperor couldn't be acknowledged as being a certain race or gender. I mean, he is The Emperor. Most people would recognize him/her or talk about how proud they are for a Nord to take the throne, how an Argonian Emperor should crawl back to the Marsh, etc.
