DLC Ideas For Fallout 4

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 5:05 pm

Be realistic. Its unlikely they will ever take the full fallout game outside of the states. It'd be chucking out all of the lore that they established and creating a brand new franchise at that point. No enclave, no BoS, no deathclaws, no power armor (The American government created it), no vault-tech.

Also, it might annoy a portion of their fan base, or cause legal problems for them. Risk vs reward just isnt there.

I think that depends entirely on how you approach it and handle it. First of all, it could have some very interesting vertical aspects. You also have places like Central Park and how nature has moved from the park to reclaim parts of the city. It could make for a very interesting area.

It's a huge city, it's would have been a major target and consequently would have some preparation to counteract being a target.

I'm divided on the vertical aspect. On one hand I'd love to see a "sky-city" build up high between the ruins of the past and an ecology/sociology based on how high/how low you live. The lower, the more dangerous and probably infested - but also vital to keep the up up and stable.

On the other hand nukes dropping in a city usually results in a flattened landscape.

Additionally big cities have zoos, I'd love to see a limited ecology based on the surviving/thriving members from those. But that's more of a pet peeve.

It might be a bit to early to talk about DLC, but I propose post apocalyptic Providence, with convienient mutations that caused the inhabitants to look like the Deep ones, and other Lovecraftian creatures.

Then atleast a DLC must be on China or a spin off like new vegas or FO 5

china features

500.000.000 ghouls

250.000.000 super mutants

200.000.000 Raiders

49.000.000 wastelanders(not quite wastelander) hauahauhaa

That's why I said a spinoff. A full game, but not part of the main 'Fallout-Line'. I don't even thing they will do Europe as DLC... but if we get Europe it should be larger than a DLC. But something like 'Fallout: France' maybe. But ever Europe or another continent as 'Fallout 5/6/etc'.

American fifths astethics are as much important to Fallout as post apocalyptic one's. So chances of Fallout game taking place anywhere outside of USA are pretty slim. Unless they want to revive Fallout:Resource wars idea.

Maybe Maine could be a DLC. There could be mutant moose and Lobsterlurks... Maybe fight some Canadian tourists...

Well as a Mass native I can pretty much guarantee that at least one piece of DLC will take place on Cape Cod, Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard. Additionally, if for some bizarre reason Salem isn't in the base game that will absolutely be DLC.

Personally, I'd like to go to Worcester or Manchester, New Hampshire. If they were to do DLC that involves travelling a great distance, it would be cool to re-visit parts of DC post-events of Fallout 3, or perhaps out to Ohio.
