DLC IdeasNew Weapons

Post » Mon Jan 18, 2016 3:52 am

Hey guys, just wanted to start a general discussion on dlc ideas. Post anything you'd like to see in the game such as: new areas, questlines, weapons, armor, etc.

Personally, I like the idea that's been circulating around the community of having an underwater dlc. Maybe a BioShock type of city? An underwater dome of some sort capable of sustaining life? It'd also be right to include a new type of power armor... How about a deep sea diving suit?

Feel free to post any/all ideas

Just a few weapon ideas.

Heavy MG

Grenade Launcher

Crossbow

Recurve Bow

Makeshift Spear

I'd personally like to see a few more power armor designs as well. It's hard to believe that the US (Or UC) was the only country to have power armor. I'd like to see a Chinese set of some sort considering the war was between US and China. A few of my ideas for power armor:

CS-20 (Chinese power armor - lowest quality)

CS-21 (Mid quality/standard issue in the Great War)

CS-21x (Experimental stealth build/Extremely rare)

CS-22 (High quality/Just became certified for field use)

TS-30 (Equivalent of X0 Power Armor/extremely rare)

Deep Sea PA (Deep sea diving suit/power armor)

Deep Sea PA 02 (Design upgrades/damage resistance)

MADD 5MM (US Marine power armor/built in minigun)

MADD nvdeT (US Marine PA sporting a Fat Man)

MADD LZR (US Marine PA sporting a Gatling lazer)

The MADD designs could be used as PA for the Gunners considering they don't have a dedicated set. It'd make since considering they generally take over old military establishments.

Talking design...

All CS-** models could resemble a similar look to T-** US power armor, but varying in the helmets and chest region. Helmets would have orange visors with a red/yellow paintjob. They'd look more primitive in design than its US cousin and with many exposed components. As designs progress from CS-20 to 21 and 22 the designs will get more sleek with less external components while sporting better looking red/yellow paintjobs.

The TS-30 design would look different entirely much like the X0 to the T series. It'd be extremely advanced and sport a different paintjob.

Deep Sea PA would simply be a Deep Sea diving suit with a Power Armor system included. It would feature water breathing, superior visibility underwater, and no radiation taken from drinking water.

MADD Marine Power Armor would feature a combat ready design with built in weapons instead of a right hand. Different designs would look the same with the appropriate weapon.

Feel free to take these ideas and modify them. Let me know what you guys come up with!

Licoln Reapter's, The All American, Old World Flag Duster, Anti Material Rifle, Chinese Stealth Suit, the talking suit from Old World Blues( at least something similar) , ammo crafting/ energy cell recharge and upgrade any armor. Also from may understanding of the lore power armor was a American only thing.

More rechambering options for the weapons (why would I ever want a semi-auto .38 combat rifle?). Some sort of ammo farming option. Better weapon models that don't obscure 15% of my field of view. A central settlement/settler management system/terminal. Just as functionality fixes.

As far as new content, I think a Cold War style Moon base or orbital weapons platform for fun with zero-g. Maybe a Canadian location (Ontario peninsula or Quebec), could explore the annexation of Canada in the lore. Maybe a look at somewhere within the Mississippi River Valley after the bombs.

Here are some of my ideas.

MIRV

Tesla Sword

Laser sword

Gatling Gauss

Nuke Cola Gun (the one you see the lady holding on the advertisment)

All the weapons from the other Fallouts (except those stupid cowboy ones in NV)

Enclave Hellfire Armor

T-100 (Which would be like a liberty prime sized power suit)

Power armor based on big daddy armor from Bioshock

I think it'd be cool if they touched on the fact that maybe China had experimantal power armor. They're quick to catch on in real life lol so maybe they could have made some less advanced models and worked on them in secrecy. It'd be a cool idea for a storyline.

As far as including other fallouts weapons and ammo workbenches, I completely agree. It'd be awesome to see the Nuka Cola gun too. It looks awesome it'd be a shame for that design to go to waste

Weapons / Gear:

- ammunition

- more Pistols (Gauss) and some of the existing weapons obstruct FOV (institute, plasma, ...)

- variants with unique skins of existing weapons (~ like Silver Submachine gun)

- legendary power armor

- unique / rechargeable fusion cores not feeling like ammo

- a slot for legendary mods on every weapon where legendary mods can be inserted / removed

Content:

- more and unique (luck stat) random encounters like in Fallout 1+2+Tactics

- more (easier) Settlement building options (one DLC focused exclusively on)

- new environments (fewer city more +wider surrounding land)

- more companion interaction (~ send on scavenging mission)

- cars / driving (like in Fallout Tactics) and maintenance / repair (+upgrade) skill

I think a DLC focusing on just Settlements would actually be pretty awesome. Give us loads of new options for building, increase settlement sizes, new settlement locations, new shops, etc. I'd love to make more of a profit off from Settlement; I'd like to be able to establish rent and a settlement tax that goes directly into a box of some sort so I don't have to sift through the workbench.

Vehicle DLC would be cool, but I don't think it'd work well with the game engine. Maybe they could implement some sort of "mounting" system where if you have animal friend fully upgraded you can ride specific animals like the Radstag or a Yao... Or even just a Brahmin.

Regarding the Chinese power armor, I thought up a questlines that seems kinda awesome (to me). What do you guys think?

So basically for whatever reason, the Brotherhood needs schematics to old Chinese weaponry. This requires you to use high tech simulation machines to bring the player back in time to the Great War. After completing specific tasks and ultimately completing the mission , players awaken in the sim chair to Proctor (Can't think of his name... The technical document guy) and the weapon guy/Proctor Ingram. Whatever item of technology was required to be obtained in the mission is now given to the player. This includes weaponry and power armor.

I'm trying to leave a proper story open because I feel like if Bethesda actually used it they could do better than I could. Lol I'm not much of a story teller... But what do you guys think?

Full size giddy-up buttercup for a mount. Just for good measure, give it laser eyes.

I can't believe people consider this a possibility. I see it enough around here. In the history of gaming when has there been a dlc that recreates the entire previous game but this time with all new and different quests? It will never happen. maybe an hd remaster but a whole dlc devoted to recreating DC and NV? It's like if assassins creed syndicate released France as a dlc and reused the France map from AC unity, they would have to fill that whole place with all new things, that's a new game completely not a dlc. People can dream but just know this will never ever ever happen

Ok so here I am, Fallout 3, Watching a friend play it (Few years ago). Coolio. Then bout 3 years ago there I am, watching a friend play Falout New Vegas. Now here I am. Literally 10 minutes ago I was watching a friend play Fallout 4 when all of a sudden I say "You know what would be awesome?" He says "yeah?"

"Fallout 4 split-screen co-op." Just think, you can go blaze the wasteland with a friend! I would totally buy this DLC even if it were $100 because just the thought of playing fallout with a friend is wayyyy cool. :D I'm hoping that this will one day be implemented. :) Shank you. :)

Although I doubt they'd do it, I think it's a really awesome idea! My wife loves Fallout 4 and it kinda svcks because we both try to play lol... Needless to say, she usually plays. I'd like to see them do split-screen... Make player 2 a companion to player 1. Maybe give a limited carrying capacity and limited level while keeping a 20 meter or so perimeter around player 1. Would be super cool to have this implemented in-game!

I love it! Perhaps more probable than not too considering the mount could be a retextured horse from skyrim (with lazer eyes, of course)

Lots of cool ideas. Mine is gonna sound lazy. But keep in mind I am a life long hardcoe gamer, whatever that means. But I'm now a father and I have a less time to play than I've ever had.

So, in theory I love the idea of building and customizing your settlements. I love seeing the awesome stuff the community creates. Some brilliant designs.

In practice, it is overwhelming to me. I just don't have the time or patients to build all the buildings and I'm honestly rubbish at it.

So I wish they would add a feature or an NPC who would basically sell you blueprints for buildings, layouts, furnishing set ups etc. And as long as you have the caps to pay for construction and the materials needed he would build pre designed buildings furnished or not, whichever you like, in the place you designate. I liked how the houses worked in Skyrim's dlc. You didn't have to manually put together your home and run power to it or wot not. You just paid and supplied the materials.

For people who have time to enjoy the building feature, it is great. But I have talked to others in my boat. It is very cool, but options for those of us who aren't into it or lack the time or skills... It would be nice to see some other way of taking advantage of having well built well defended settlements.

Just a thought. I would enjoy the game much more with some solution to this. Yes, I can ignore that part of the game but it feels like you miss out by not having at least one strong settlement.

Also, I know mods are eventually coming to consoles (I play on PS4), but I have to have Macho Man Randy Savage in my game. Lol

And lightsabers.

Not the whole area , just a small bit . Like the DLCS for Fallout 3 , they let you get out of the Capital Wasteland , this one would let you take part in battles from the DC and NV (basically NCR-Legion and Regulators-Talon Company)
