DLC Microsoft Timed 360 Exclusive?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:31 am

Maybe Bethesda will change thier mind this time and not make DLC 360 Exclusive this time.
It happened for Oblivon, Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Let Bethesda know you do not want this to happen for Skyrim.

I for one, would not like any exclusives be that be Timed like in 360 or platforms, like Assasian Creed where PS3 gets DLC while other platforms can't have them.
What do you think of platform exclusives? Should they be avaliable to all?

How about Pre-Order exclusives? Depending where you buy it, would you like? Should they all be the same, or should they be different like
how they did it in New Vegas? I for one would like them to be all the same. I would hate that EB Games/Gamestop or BestBuy/Wallmart
would have different pre-order DLC. I would want them all.

So what do you guys think? Yes I know it's 11 months away but if we let our voice known now instead of a month before, maybe Bethesda will change their mind then.

Exclusive content in a multiplatform game is [censored].

I'd rather not see 10 different kinds of pre-order packs. One is fine. I myself don't really care about free cheat items, which is basically what they are. :P

Exactly, I had to unistall the special item pack in New Vegas because it already was ridiculously easy.

Why would anyone want anything to be exclusive? Exclusivity is for the companies that make the profit from it. There's no reason for us to go one way or the other.

Believe it or not, there are many selfish apes who want that.

I pre-ordered the new Deus Ex, and apparently one of the bonuses it'll give me is 10,000 extra credits (money) to start with, and some exclusive weapons.

I don't even want it! I only pre-ordered it because I wanted the special edition with the art book. I actually bought New Vegas a day AFTER the release date because I didn't want the pre-order pack. :P

Meh, if Bethesda wants to wait for "an undetermined time frame" to get my money, fine by me. Though, I'd prefer a universal release, I'm not going to boycott or anything.

I would like different Packs, but all packs offered for preferred class. AKA Mage Pack, Thief Pack, Warrior Pack, Ranger Pack.

Mage pack: Robe with 50 Magika Bonus and 10% Reflect Spell [or Resist, or Absorb Magicka], Dagger with small elemental enchantment, a few soul gems... some which are charged.

Thief pack: Boots with +10 Sneak enchantment, ring with +10 security enchantment, invisibility spell, and a decent amount of lock-picks

Warrior Pack: Nordic Iron Armor +5 Strength +5 Endurance, Mace with small enchantment, 5 Repair Hammers

Ranger Pack: Leather Armor +5 Agility +5 Sneak, Silver Bow +5 Marksman, 50 Enchanted Arrows

That or maybe packs made race "Nord Pack, Dunmer Pack, etc.

I'm tired of all the platform exclusive, retail exclusive bullcrap. Why can't we all have the same thing? This is the worst thing to happen to gaming in recent years. :brokencomputer:

No, No, Yes and No.

I hate when you have platforms exclusives and even more when you need to buy something from a certain place in order to get a special DLC...everything should be avaible to everyone.

Exclusive DLC is horrible. Alienating players who do not have an xbox 360 or ps3 or a high-end PC isn't fair to the player. Granted each DLC content could be "different but equal," but no matter what there will be some people who prefer the item that they cannot get, and if you put the effort into getting DLC content you should be able to get the DLC content that you want.

I like the idea for DLC, but I would want this for everyone, not just a bonus for pre-ordering, unless you get one free, but can buy it afterwards.

I'd rather there be no exclusives that way no one gets burned or angry.

I mean I'm a 360 owner but I feel like PS3 owners should get the same content I pay for, and they should pay the same price.

I'd rather not see any release-day DLC, but if there must be one, it should be the same for all.

The exclusives are annoying, but they aren't game changers.

Platform exclusive DLC just pisses people off, it may be financially good for Bethesda though, and I can understand why they do it, I just hope they never do it again. (which is probably wishful thinking)

So long as the PC version of Skyrim has access to all DLC then I don't care what happens to the DLC exclusives on consoles. But I still think that exclusive DLC content is terrible.
