DLC play order

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 7:04 pm

Howdy,
I got the Ultimate Edition, what would the play order be for the DLC's ?

I've seen: Honest Hearts > Old World Blues > Dead Money > Lonesome Road.

But then Ive also seen Dead Money as the starting DLC.

I would like to play in the order they were released to maintain story line.

Thanks guys ...I played FO3 some time back, know I'll enjoy this one as well.

Regardless of play order, I would still go with Honest Hearts first because it's the shortest and the easiest. (can be done at lower levels)

I'm an old hat at gaming so "easy" or "hard" means nada ...its all in the "save game"

Playing Honest Hearts wouldnt throw the story line out of sequence ? .ie, this great looking
gal I suppose to get as a companion ...but Nooooo, I killed her in previous DLC :swear:

In order that they came out. Each adds there part to a bigger picture. If you play them in any other order you screw up that bigger picture.

I don't know if HH really takes something out of Dead Money if you decided to play that first. If you play LR before HH then I'd understand.

There are some appearances by Dead Money characters in Old World Blues, probably better to play OWB first before Dead Money. Honest Hearts doesn't have much connection with the others so you can play it any time. Though the convention is to play Lonesome Road last.

I think order of release is best for your first play-through of all of the DLCs, but if you decide to go through them again on a different play-through, then I would say Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, Dead Money, Lonesome Road.

True, but if you don't spend anytime around the Legion and hear people talking of "The Burned Man" or learn of the first battle of Hoover Dam before HH. Then it wouldn't be that great IMO.

So it's best IMO to just play them in order.

Well without spoiling anything some of the ending slides in OWB and LR suggest that your suppose to play OWB third and LR last. I also like to play them by how much info they reveal about ulysses, hh has least, dead money is next, then owb, and finally lr.
