DLC Play order?

Ok so it's a simple question, what order should the DLC's be optimally played?

A while ago (like a long while ago) there was a post that no longer exists (that I can find) that listed a really good order to play the content in.

I remember Operation Anchorage was first, and I believe The Pitt was second. The rest is where I get fuzzy. I know it said to at least play up to the quest Picking up the Trail, but not completing

not entering the vault you're searching for.
Now I can't remember where Broken Steel, Mothership Zeta, and Point Lookout fall. I think Mothership Zeta was going to be next, but I simply can't remember, and I totally can't remember when I was going to do Point Lookout and Broken Steel.

So yeah, I took a long break from the game and completely forgot all the stuff I was planning on doing. If anyone has some insight on what order to do things in relation to the DLC's I'd really appreciate it.

Theres no DLC 'order' per se. But I'd say it makes sense To have Main Story > BS> Op Anch> The Pitt> Point Lookout and lastly MZ

The Colonel is correct there is no firm rule as respects the order of game-play but for the heck of it the following is the order as outlined in the Prima Game of the Year Strat Guide

1-Main Quest
2-Operations Anchorage
3-The Pitt
4-Broken Steel
5-Point Lookout
6-Mothership Zeta

Then you have a ton of Miscellaneous quests of course.
This is about the most non-linear game I have ever played... I play it how my mood strikes me... one day the Main Quest and then maybe I will help out an old lady find her violin, whatever.

To each his own.

There's no order really. Point Lookout is tough if you go early, I don't change the difficulty.... I mix and match all the DLC. I get the horror of O:A over with quickly, at about level 5. Then I do a little here, a little there. I usually take a beach vacation to Point Lookout, sitting in a chair on the beach, waiting for the waiter who has my Corona, after I take a guided tour of a particular air force base.

I for one suggest keeping Point Lookout until later in the game. I went over there at level 12 and barely got out alive. For some weird reason, this was the perfect time for the damn game to start spawning Ghoul Reavers and I ran into two of them (or the same one twice?) in rapid succession. It nearly killed me eight or ten times, making me go through stimpaks like crazy, usually by hitting me in the back with its radioactive goop while I was frantically fleeing through the swamp. I eventually was able to scraqe the bastard off by leading it right into a group of swampfolk - a couple of Creepers, one Tracker and a Brawler. The Reaver went through those yokels like a chainsaw through balsa wood, killing them all. They did knock it down a lot, leaving only three health bars. Still took me three frag grenades to finish it, and that ain't fair. :banghead: Since my armor was pretty much ruined, I decided it was time to leave. On the bright side, I did do some treasure hunting, picking up the goodies under the bouys out in the water.
