Dlc question for GOTY?

Post » Sat Jul 27, 2013 10:35 am

So I got the game yesterday and its game of the year edition, and I played it for a few hours, but when do you think I should put the dlc disc inside? When do you think I should use all the dlcs? Now, later or towards the end? I dont know when the best time to do it is.

Are you playing on a console? If so, I probably can't answer, as I don't know how consoles work. There may be something about consoles that I don't understand. But on PC I keep the DLCs active right from the start.

You can load the DLCs from the start on a console, too, and that's probably the best way to do it, especially if you want the level cap increase to 30 that Broken Steel adds. You can choose to play the DLCs at any time you want, though you won't be able to do any of the Broken Steel quests until you've finished the main quest.

If you're on the xbox, install all the DLCs now, except Point Lookout. Save that one for last. There is a glitch with The Pitt, on the 360, if you have Point Lookout installed. Once you finish The Pitt, then install Point Lookout. You can do Operation Anchorage, The Pitt and probably even Mothership Zeta anytime shortly into starting your character.

But you should just burn Zeta. Its nothing but a coaster. It has a virus, don't play it.

You should at least have Broken Steel running right from the start as it adds a bunch of stuff to the regular game. Most of it doesn't kick in until you're at a higher level, like some of the new creatures/NPCs, but there's some things that show up right from the beginning.
