DLC Release Dates?

Post » Fri Mar 11, 2016 7:36 pm

So, the announcement was several weeks ago and there has been nothing on when they'll start being released. Any idea?

I know it's probably, "Soon" but it'd be nice to get some info.

Well since they are possibly in the swing of the beta I imagen they actually dont have a date yet, because they need to gather data, see how much bug correction needs to be made, etc.

sometime this month the first dlc will come out..

No-idea about the date but according to IGN the latest patch (which has the files for DLC) will be released to consoles this week, I also think beta testing for the first dlc started, might be wrong about that though.

And if i knew they did... would i tell you?

They open the application weeks ago, what they haven't told us is if the actually started the beta, which they aren't under any obligation to tell us and might not, since its easier to keep it under NDA hush hush.

this forum prolly won't see any leaks if there was testing occurring atm. but I could see other sites posting leaks about it. so makes me think they haven't started beta yet.

Pc beta could be in full swing, but xbox/ps4 need the patch before the beta can be played.

Console 1.4 patch is expected around this week. http://twitter.com/BethesdaStudios/status/707692569610887169

So DLC will be expected around March.

'Expected' will be their buzzword from now on.

Consider Beth has the ability to edit or delete savefiles of beta participants, I suspect people will play it safe then sorry and avoid leaks.

Oh so they've changed from "Soon" to "Expected' now? LOL

I didn't really expect them to say anything. I just want the DLC. :)

consider it might be useless since i have backups and messing with the files on my computer could be slightly illegal ;)

but this said: true beta testers won't leak anything. attention [censored]s will...

if you want more speculation about DLC, this site has gleaned some goodies from the launch announcement I guess I missed..
Read the "Fine Print" section, prolly just standard fare from Zenimax, but news to me..

should be standard. they aren't steam, so they won't get access to my game account.

Except that's why they state it in the document you have to agree on to join the beta, when you sign up you do give them legal permission to edit your files.

1) they HAVE to alter files just to install the update. Altering files that contain data might be something else.

2) NDAs and EULAs don't override local law

But that's really nitpicking by me.

IF something like this would happen without my consent, i'd have my files back in less then five minutes and the games internet connection speed limited to 1kBit/s.

But since i'm connecting to Steam and not Bethesda i don't worry about anything.

The thing i don't like the is the closet beta for the DLC, why can't they just release the DLC for everyone and let us become the public testers so they can fix it. I find the fact people get to play the DLC early, even in a close environment, spoiling the dlc.

I'd rather we all become the beta testers and play the DLC and tell them about it. The more people playing the dlc the better they can isolate issues and easier it'll be to patch it

If I had to guess, beta starting on the 15th. Full release on the 29th.

Its only ilegal if its against your consent, by signing for the beta you gave them your consent, trust me, if you brought it up to court Beth could just wave your agreement to join the beta in a judges face and he dismiss your case instantly.

And I would not suggest using that backup, as Beth would see your action as illegal and bring down the laywers on you.

I'm wondering if the beta hasn't already begun, and PC will get automatron on the 15th. Maybe consoles on the same day, maybe a week later.

The impression I get from this time table is that they've alotted only a week or two for each round of beta testing. Bethesda has been careful about release dates. I'd be surprised if they misjudged this March-April-May plan...

If they don't announce that the beta is starting, maybe look at the global stats page for the achievements. If the Automatron achievements show someone got them, then the beta probably started.

Nobody has gotten any of the achievements so the Beta has not started

I have had my doubts about the so-called 'beta testing'. It seems that the kiddies all sign up for it just to be the first to play. Then when they run into problems they post over on the Nexus asking people to help them fix it. That's why so many bugs slip by and into our games.
