DLC Request: The Thalmor

Post » Sat Dec 17, 2011 6:13 pm

Nothing to me is more irritating than watching evil/injustice and having no power to stop it. Whether you're a proud Son of Skyrim or a loyal servant of the Empire is irrelevent. The Thalmor are, without a doubt the most hated faction in all of Tamriel and the playerbase as well no doubt.

So why shouldnt we be able to fight them and severely cripple/topple their regime? This can still be set in Skyrim; perhaps the Thalmor leaders are personally tracking down a powerful artifact. There's millions of possibilities, but the simple truth is this; I'm confident that the playerbase will back me up if we have DLC that allows us to stick it to the Dominion.

Whos with me?

The Thalmor are greatly misunderstood. I'm not with you at all!

I agree, it would be a nice DLC in my opinion, everyone hates the Thalmor!

I definitely wished they'd had more of presence in Skyrim, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if people were willing to shell out cash for an opportunity to kill more of the bastards.

I would be very surprised if Beth didn't have DLC that involved taking out the Thalmor empire bit by bit.

I have a feeling that at least one DLC will revolve around kicking them out of Skyrim.

Well, having a DLC with them in the centre would be cool, but I see one problem: The Civil War. A rather big part of the motivation for the civil war is the Thalmor and if they are weakened before the player joins one side the Empire might be strong enough to defy them which would render the Stormcloaks supportless. A possible solution would be that the DLC activates after the civil war is over.

I can definitely get behind this. There is no more gratifying feeling in the world of Skyrim than helping a Thalmor meet their end.

I am not with you, no. Now a DLC where we could join the Thalmor and stick it to the barbaric men and their pitiful Empire is another story. Long Live the Aldmeri Dominion! The age of Man is over, this is the age of Mer!

I hope it would actually remove them, instead of being just another civil war/main quest where you 'make a difference'.

It would be interesting if we could fight a losing battle. Dragonborn loses, and Skyrim falls.

That way things would be set up perfectly for TES VI

I think the Thalmor are more than likely being set up as the big bad of a future game altogether. Some DLC or an expansion featuring them just wouldn't be big enough to involve the "Great War 2" setting required for a full blown war against them.

Maybe some DLC driving them out of Skyrim I suppose.

A thalmor Invasion and repulsion would be cool, especially if you could pick a side and effect the outcome!

Well, say the Thalmor have a use in the next game? Like the next game is set in Summerset Isles? Just a thought. Kicking them out entirely would be too much of an effect.

I was hoping this thread would be about letting you work FOR the thalmor... :(

I'll take a Aldmeri Dominion/Thalmor faction DLC ^_^

Whos with me?

They're a bunch of [censored]s...when I've reached their "secret prison" they refused me to see the prisoner (even after I've told them I was his lawyer!!)!! When I refused to leave, they attacked me!! :P

Unluckily for them I sniped them one by one in Rambo-style with my trusted bow, then I came in and I reanimated their corpses to slay their brethrens down into the prison. I killed all of them!

However, the funniest thing is that my intent was to take a peaceful path!!! :o

This to a lesser extent. It would be nice if you got the option to side with or against the Thalmor. If you were a Altmer, Bosmer, or maybe Dunmer, you could join, or if you were a human or beast race you could ingratiate yourself with them to some extent.

i was already thinking about that
but how do you think about a thalmor invasion after the civil war because the stormcloaks worship talos and the empire didn't do their part of the white gold concordat
You first have to kick them out of skyrim and than go to summerset isle and destroy them but once there you discover a bigger plot like a powerful artifact that affected their minds or something
