yes! Bloodmoon for FO4? So you can be a ghoul? or a were-Deathclaw? awesome!
I can wait for DLC. It would be nice if the GECK was released though.
If it was made known that Bethesda was working on DLC while they were still finishing the game itself there would be a lot of rage about that. People would say that content should be part of main game because it was being developed at the same time. There would be rage threads about cut content and it is a strategy to maximize profits at the expense of gamers.
Dawnguard didn't come out until June after Skyrim's November release. If they are doing larger DLC like they did with Skyrim, I wouldn't expect Fallout's DLC to come any faster.
And whether it comes out next week or next year, everyone will simply need to wait. "I should have what I want, when I want, because I think that's how it should be," doesn't fly.
Point Lookout was really nice, Anchorage was not my style, but The Pitt was utterly amazing in most regards. I'd gladly wait for a similar level of quality.
Also didn't they also have to schedule the whole post-game add-on thing as well? I don't quite remember.
I meant in terms of size/scope but those are some interesting ideas.
Hearthfire was pretty lackluster however I will admit Dragonborn and Dawnguard were great.
I liked Broken Steel the most out of all the FO3 DLCs because it allowed you to continue playing the game after the main quest (w/o the need to use mods) and because it increased the max level from 20 to 30. Oh, yeah... I like the missions as well.
Operation Anchorage was pretty good since it allowed you to take part in a historic military event. It was also nice to see snow in FO3 even though it was before the bombs fell.
We need to wait. Alot of new things have to be written, tested, ported to console and PC. But it would be nice if someone from Bethesda could tell about the progress

I loved all of the DLC from Skyrim to Fallout New Vegas going all the way back to Oblivion.
I have enjoyed every single one that Bethesda created...with the exception of the Shivering Isles...bugs and such...
So, I am more than willing to wait and trust that what Bethesda creates will be worth it.
...but, just so Bethesda knows....that does not mean I am not anxious to get those DLC goodies!!!
Right now, my guess is that they're working on:
The first DLC
Getting the Creation Kit ready to launch
Figuring out the infrastructure for mods on XB1
And, if we're hoping that the first DLC is as substantial as Dawnguard was, we're gonna wanna be patient.
this long???? is been out for 3 months, most DLC take longer than that.
The only DLC that are quick to deliver and the one that are already on the main content but lock behind a DLC lock (like stupid protos companion on ME 3)
Personally, I'd rather have short, sweet games done amazingly well than longer games done pretty well. I'm a quality-over-quantity guy through-and-through, though. I'm far more likely to play a game I really enjoyed 3 times in a row instead of finish a game that's starting to drag even once.
It's very hard to add both "length" and "meaning" to a creative piece. The two are usually mutually exclusive.
....they write, in Bethesda's official forums...
I found Hearthfire to be the best DLC that Bethesda has made and released.
Uh even Heathfire? Personally, I found Dawnguard to be a boring cliche baby-sit-me DLC that ruined Skyrim's vampiric lore.
Dragonborn, on the other hand, was pretty amazing and fixes so much of the things I disliked about vanilla Skyrim. If only Bethesda made the rest of the game with the same way they did with Dragonborn.
This translates into "fewer perks / skills / weapons / quests so that the ones that are there are built for impact". Instead of radiant quests randomly happening and sending you to Corvega AGAIN or your base (with 80 Defense) being attacked by 3 bandits...there will only be 3-5 attacks, semi-scripted, that carefully take you base and defenses into account. In short, no "filler" made for "grinding". Beth games do not require "grind" quests. You get all of the extra experience you need in Fallout 4 just trying to walk past a grocery store.
I never like to assume anything about game design and the process. They probably PLANNED the DLC's and did some concept art and what to work with, but I do not believe they actually started working on the crunch before game release.
Besides...I could be wrong, let's look at the track record. Dates taken from gamefaqs.com, because [censored] me if I can recall the correct dates.
Fallout 3 came out on 10/28/08...The first DLC, Operation: Anchorage came out on 1/27/09. Three months. Not too far from where we are now.
Fallout New Vegas came out on 10/19/10...Dead Money came out on 2/22/11....odd, I have clear memories of playing it that December...
....Yes, Obsidian was the developer, but published by Bethesda, so I'm including it.
Oblivion came out on 3/20/06...Mehrunes Razor, the first DLC that wasn't a house or...gimmick thing...came out on 6/16/06.
Skyrim came out on 11/11/11. And according to Gamefaqs, Dawnguard didn't come out until 8/02/12, almost an entire year after the release.
Like.. ever? All their games?
To each their own.
3 months is too long to wait?
Patience my friend! Patience!
This isn't Witcher with their releases every week or so.
I want them to get them right AND fix the bugs and glitches (as they can).
I can wait.
I just want the creation kit for now. DLC can come later.
