DLC soon ?

Post » Sun May 02, 2010 4:38 pm

Any information would help. I've done every single flippin quest and finished the game 8 times now with the Dead Money. I'm a big fan but Fallout is slippin away. And every time i beat the game with Caeser, NCR, or Mr House doesnt matter. I only have about averaged 40 hours of gameplay. In fallout 3 i had around 80. All unique weapons everything!! There needs to be more Hours of gameplay. Thats why im drooling for a DLC.

you have a good point, in fallout 3 i spent like 100 hours or more and with the addition of the DLC's like 200+, here i only have like 70 including some of the Dead money dlc that i haven't finished i didn't like it. in fallout 3 you can access all the locations and here i think half are just marks for your pip-boy map.

I will love to see more radiation, more mutants fallout 3 in my opinion was way better than this game.

More content, wow i am 75hours into FNV about 10 of those was Dead Money, and i still have a good chunk of FNV left, to do that all in 40 hours is very fast, its not a race, have you been to every location done every side quest? Maybe i play slow or something lol to me there is a ton of content...:P But yeah i hope the next DLC drops soon too man :)

I have banked over 180 hours and I'm not even close to done. Hell, I haven't even done DM yet.

I'm sure we will hear news in the next 2 months about the next one. Rumor is Honest Hearts will be next and that (if the rumors are right) will be a big open area so hopefully it will add a lot of content. So I would rather wait and have it be well developed than it be rushed out.

If you've bear the game 8 times and have only logged total of 40 hrs than you're playing the game wrong.

Next New Vegas DLC: Honest Hearts

yoba333 | 18:21, 26 February 2011 | 28 Comments | [ Add comment]

The Fallout:New Vegas add-on Dead Money was released for the PC and PS3 February 22nd. In-game graffiti in New Vegas hinted at Dead Money, and now people have found a new hint in Dead Money's BSA archives. Players found the NVDLC02 snowglobe, named Zion National Park, shortly after Dead Money was released. Zion National Park is located in southwestern Utah, implying that the next DLC will be in New Canaan, Utah. If the DLC does take place in New Canaan, the Burned Man will most likely make an appearance as the player’s main ally or enemy, depending on their allegiance.
New Canaan was originally planned to appear in Van Buren , the canceled Fallout 3 project by Black Isle Studios. A few people who worked on Van Buren have also worked on New Vegas, and this might be their way of finishing that project.

According to my pip-boy ive completed like 70 quests. And i have all the unique weapons. All locations. Not from the explorer perk. And if you have 180 hours or however many you should get off your booty. I love this game, maybe im jus to harcore of a gamer. And if thats the case. WOW. im jus saying maybe they should add another year on to making the game so when they release it theres not a billion bugs. I couldnt even do the wheel of fortune quest. i mean come on. It would be worth it if they spent more time making it. More hours of gameplay. better performance. Whats not to like. they would make more money too. thats always a good thing.

I'm wondering what the cost/return was/is on Dead Money. Obviously, the developers didn't have to reinvent the wheel, but it can't be cheap to produce a fairly large add on like that, as compared to, say, horse armor. Remember that at the time, as I remember it, horse armor in Oblivion was $5, just half the price of Dead Money.
I guess what I'm really wondering is this: Are the developers actually creating the next 2-3 DLC addons, or are the folks in accounting still trying to figure out if it makes economic sense to produce them. I really have no idea, and I'm not guessing one way or the other. Still, I'd be curious to know exactly what was netted on Dead Money.

I'm pretty sure the DLC is already done (the next two or three). I think the only reason they haven't released it yet is because they are waiting since the PS3 and PC just got DM. The horse armors price was only because they had no idea what to charge for it because it was (supposedly) the first DLC of any form to be released.

The quote I just took, I have never heard anything mentioned about that. I'm an admin over at the Fallout Wikia, and we don't have that on our page. Besides I look up FNV related news a lot and have never come across any information mentioning that. Also, the other information is true, I'm just very skeptical about the piece that is quoted.

If you are admin then you should know it does say on the Vault wiki that joshua graham AKA The burned man will be in the dlc, as on the Honest Hearts main article it has him in the list of characters appearing.

Yes I know that the Burned Man is going to be in it, I'm saying that I've never heard anything about him reacting to your faction status.

I should've made my post a little bit more clear about what I was referring to in that quote.

Im surprised we are left speculating. As a ps3 player I was speculating the better part of a year for when FO3 dlc would drop, but 360 and pc had a full release schedule shortly after release unless I remember wrong.

Well, if you want to look at it that way, New Vegas was, what, $40 on release? Even if the 4 packs add up to the same ammount of content as NV (read:loads), at $10 each they'll end up with the same work to price ratio. Better in fact, as they don't have to redo all the game mechanics and whatever is different from FO3.

I agree.

But I also am eager for the next DLC. Want to find out more on the Divide and New Kanaan.

But luckily I have school, A Wise Man's Fear, and FONV replayability to coax me......for now.......

Forty hours?? Is that all???
You are playing the wrong games.
I played 80 hours in this game and I have not met Mr House yet.
In RPG I take my time playing it.

On the Fallout 3 to New Vegas aspect ratio, its hard to compare a spinoff to a game in development for years with a larger mass. For what it is New Vegas matches up nicely. Although exploration doesn't quite matchup to the 3rd. Lets avoid a clash comparison and get back to the main topic though. I guess we're all waiting on a sneaky little bugger to leak out the next dlcs features, date, etc. wether here directly or places like NeoGAF.
