DLC thought

Please. Please! I want MotherShip Zeta II DLC. You don't just write something into a DLC that tells us the Aliens caused the Nuclear Apocalypse , and then not expand on that. Please.!! There are many many aliens and civilizations to bring in through a DLC

I don't want anymore aliens...at all!

Please. Please! I want MotherShip Zeta II DLC.

I stopped reading right there.

I absolutely HATED Mothership Zeta. It was too linear, the weapons were crap, and the points brought up by it just ruin Fallout for me (I haven't brought myself to play Fallout 3 again since I beat MZ). Not to mention there's no point in returning to the ship because most of it is locked up.

Mostly everybody on here agrees with that.

I really hate that it's considered canon now... :banghead:

This may be a stupid question but I have yet to play MZ.What points did it actually bring up?

NillaCakester just mentioned it in his post:

So yeah. One of the many reasons why it's so hated on here.

No, for the love of god no more aliens or spaceships. Not even in an Area51 DLC. Just... no!!

If I want aliens I will go and play Aliens. Or Star Wars. Or Star Trek. or... etc etc

Exactly, even if we know aliens exist, lets just erase most traces for a good LONG while. Let's focus on the earth for about 4-5 years,

Okay? Okay.

Wouldn't be the worst idea with new graphics and all the time elapsed things might be a bit different there... Probably wouldnt even reconize it at first aye? About Vault city not Mothership Zeta... it wasnt very good period hes right was way to linear wanted to explore and go my own path not much you can do in Zeta that follows the normal fallout 3 guideline...

I don't.

Well, then you're not apart of the "mostly everybody" I just mentioned.

There are some people who enjoyed the hell out of it, but most people hated it.

fallout 3 had dlc not expansion packs

They are, in essence, expansion packs, as they are expanding upon the game. But I want to see a true expansion pack (Ex. Shivering Isles) instead of individual +2-4 hour DLC's. But, the DLC in FO3 weren't that bad, I mean besides MZ. My favorite was the BS because I love working with the East-side Brotherhood and it actually quite alot of gameplay compared to the other ones.

For me it was like 4-9 hour DLC's.

Good idea, I'm thinking that peace talks broke down so all of the ghouls invaded vault city and there was a giant war

My very selective memory does not recall this "Mothership Zeta" that all of you guys are talking about.

Anyway, I said it before and I'll say it again... I'd rather see new areas than see old areas. Yeah, I liked many of the places from Fallout 1/2, but if I want to revisit them I can just play those games. While I'm all for nods to the classics, I don't think we really need to go as far as revisiting places like Vault City. Now showing areas mentioned but never explored in the previous games, such as Dayglow, I wouldn't mind.

Well, I usaully rush through and complete the main story line then go back and nitpick out all the side quests located via wiki, but not using the walkthrough or anything. So thats probably why.

I knew that they weren't going to be long so I took my sweet time with them all.
Sometimes just admiring the art-work and awesome design of things.
Like O:A when I first entered it, I just stared out at the mountains in amazement as I felt my pulse getting higher.
It was just so damn beautiful. :)

Oh, well first time I entered O:A I ran right off the cliff by accident and saw that I respawned back up, and me being me, kept running off because I'm just that easily distracted haah.

I'd like a DLC where we play as a completely new character in a vault just 20 years from the Great War.
Would be nice to witness the gradual downfall of a vault in person.
Of course, I want it to be bigger and take place during a decade.
Each time we complete a chapter of it it skips ahead a couple of weeks/months/years to chapter 2.
And then so on until chapter 5 where it all goes to hell.
Of course the skills needs to be redesigned for that DLC since we aren't playing as The Courier.
So take away Energy Weapons, Explosives and Survival.
This is a really quick pitch of what I had planned up in my head.
But it'd be nice to actually see what went on in a vault until it's downfall.
And I do not count Vault 101.
Because it was all just an annoying training area to get to know the game, it's mechanics and HUD better.

I agree.... They can do this like Bioware did Dragon Age Awakening. In that game you could make your guy transfer to the new expansion or make a whole new one. Other things are called DLC but what you mention should be done on the highest lvl. They need to make a DLC or Expasion were you can bring the downfall of a vault or solve the vaults problems, or even become the overseer and let people outside the vault if you want.

Kansas City, Kansas

Kansas had the (If you didn't know) most nuclear silo's. So since the world was nuked, why not go back to its starting point and learn information about what happened. Kansas City is not huge but would be perfect size for a DLC the size of Point Lookout... Or Even the Pitt. I would like to see what happened to Kansas City seeing as i live near there.

Even if Mothership Zeta I doesn't deserve another chance, they can make it completely better! Instead of making the DLC about a Mother Ship why not include just an overall alien contact and world(s) to explore? you can really bring in some fantasy stuff!! Just give it another chance. I doubt they can make the same DLC twice.
