DLC weapons, pick your favourites.

Just seeing what was everyone's favourite DLC weapon. I will be making different topics due to the enormous number of weapons the dlc introduces.

1 handed guns:

Weathered 10mm pistol - Available from the beginning of the game, powerful and easier to use thand standard and can be modded. Not a holdout weapon like its counterpart.

Police Pistol - Strong base damage, bonus critical damage, easy to find ammo and easy to repair, and standard holdout weapon. Average spread for a pistol and standard crit rate.

.45 Auto Pistol - Strong damage, can be silenced and light weight. Large spread and ammo is bought or made only.

A Light Shining in Darkness - Powerful, good crit chance and lighter than any other handgun. Sightly above average spread and same ammo issue as above.

H&H Tools nail gun - Insane Rate of fire, always armor piercing and ammo is cheap to buy plus it can easily be made and it's capacity is incredible. Breaks downs fast (really fast).

5.56mm pistol - Improved holdout weapon compared to "That Gun" and has 6 different ammo types. Inferior to "That Gun" as a standard weapon.

Hunting Revolver(GRA) - Can be modded for decreased spread am an additional shot. Same stast as standard.

Sleepytyme - Improved holdout weapon, better all around compaired to the 10mm SMG. Expensive as heck to buy.

Li'l Devil - More powerful all around compaired to the 12.7mm pistol, great critical rage and slightly lighter too. Not a holdout weapon at any level of Sneak and the most expensive 1 handed gun in the game.

1 handed energy weapons:

Compliance Regulator- Long paralyzing effect, good critical chance, and easy to use and low spread. Poor damage.

Sonic emitter - Revelation- Paralysing effect, good use of ammo per shot. Pathetic range and slow rate of fire.

Sonic emitter - Gabriel's Bark - Powerful knockback effect, decent use of ammo. Pathetic range and slow rate of fire.

Sonic emitter - Opera Singer - bonus damage and limb bamage on crit, decent use of ammo. Pathetic range and slow rate of fire.

Sonic emitter - Tarantula - Ignites enemies on crit, and may autokill, stacks with pyromaniac, great use of ammo. Pathetic range and slow rate of fire.

Sonic emitter - Robo-Scorpion - Causes powerful explosion on crit, good use of ammo. Pathetic range and slow rate of fire, and can get caught in explosion easily.

Flare gun - Scares Abominations, Only 1 handed weapon to use Flamer Fuel. Poor durability, ammo usage and poor damage.

MF Hyperbreeder Alpha - Powerful and an insane rate of fire, no limit to ammo. Expensive.

Laser Pistol(GRA) - Can be modded for true iorn sights, extra damage and saving ammo. Same stats as standard.

Plasma Pistol(GRA) - Can be modded for increased damage, faster projectile speed and saving ammo. Same stats as standard.

Plasma Defender(GRA) - Cam be modded with a Scope, decreased spread and double the ammo. Same stats as Standard.

2 handed guns:

Automatic Rifle- Beastly DPS and DAM for an automatic weapon. Breaks down fast, expensive ammo and pathetically wide spread. (Power is everything option, basically)

.45 auto Submachinegun - Strong, and high rate of fire, sturdy for an automatic weapon. Ammo is an issue, and even modded, it has a wide spread.

Survivalist's rifle - Powerful, easy to repair, Small spread and great rate of fire. Expensive ammo.

Christine's COS silencer rifle- Powerful, high crit chance and easy to find ammo. Slower than standard, and breaks down quickly.

Sturdy caravan shotgun - Available from beginning of the game, powerful, easy on ammo and incredibly durable. Terrible spread.

Paciencia - Powerful, insane critical damage and easy to repair. only holds 3 shots and is expensive.

Medicine Stick - Powerful, extra ammo capacity. Expensive.

Bozar - Accurate for an automatic, low AP cost and common ammo. Reduced damage and clip size.

12.7mm SMG(GRA) - Can be modded for decreased spread, extra ammo and silencing. Same stats as standard.

Anti-materiel rifle(GRA) - Can be modded for reduced weight, reduced noise and increased rate of fire. Same stats as standard.

Assault carbine(GRA) - Can be modded for extra ammo, increased rate of fire and increased durability. Same stats as standard.

Battle Rifle - Cheap. All around inferior to "This Machine".

2 handed energy weapons.

Holorifle - Increadible power per cell, Decent DOT effect, sturdy, night scope, and can be modded to increas all effectiveness. Hard to repair.

LAER - Good damage per cell, conserves ammo with mods, decent crit chance. Fragile weapon, and expensive to repair.

Elijah's advanced LAER - Good damage per cell, conserves ammo with mods, decent crit chance and high rate of fire. Terribly brittle, and even more expensive to repair.

Tri-beam laser rifle(GRA) - Can be modded for increased damage, greatly increased condition, and double the ammo. Same stats as standard.

2 handed explosive weapons

Mercenary's grenade rifle - Available from the beginning of the game, Can be modded. Same stats as a standard Grenade Rifle.

Great Bear grenade rifle - Powerful, incredable durability. Have to nuke NCR to obtain it.

Red Victory grenade rifle - Light, great DPS. Have to Nuke Legion to get it.

25mm grenade APW - Semi-automatic with cheap and varied ammo, can be modded for increased capacity, increased projectile speed and increased rate of fire. Low crit chance and weaker per shot than standard grenade launchers.

Lil' Devil is probably my favourite DLC added weapon, its pretty much a hand cannon.
The Sonic Emitter in general just makes robots almost completely irrelevant.
The Two-Handed Guns is the one where I had a tie between the Medicine Stick and the Pacienca. The Bozar is a bit over-rated for me personally since its useless to put a scope on something with a spread that high and it didn't replace the CZ57 Avenger as my main street sweeper.
The Holorifle might just be my second favourite DLC added weapon. I completely fell in love with it in Dead Money.
The 25mm grenade APW is pretty badass, but overall I still like Thump Thump more.

I had to reinstall New Vegas a few weeks ago, and I have not had a chance to test the GRA weapons yet.

The Favourites:
1 Handed Guns: .45 Auto Pistol - I prefer the seven round magazine and the iron sights to ALSiD.

1 Handed Energy Weapons: Sonic Emitter - I can't decide between the five versions, so I just randomly chose one of the ones listed.

2 Handed Guns: Survivalist's Rifle - An amazing weapon. Accurate, durable and powerful.

2 Handed Energy Weapons: Holorifle - LAER is not durable enough for long term use.

2 Handed Explosives: Red Victory Grenade Rifle - Wins by default as I have not used any of the others listed.

I'd have to say MF Hyperbreeder Alpha. It's [censored] sauce. On a side note, does anyone know if Camarader-E applies to it? Supposedly it works on all Laser Commander eligible weapons, so I'm hoping it works for the recharger weapons too. Apparently Laser Commander applies to the MF Hyperbreeder Alpha.. I haven't played through Lonesome Road yet so I haven't gotten a chance to check.

I doubt it, DLC perks usually don't apply to weapons or armour in other DLC's.

A Light Shining in the Darkness, hands down. It looks awesome, it packs a punch, it's fast, and hell it even has a cool name.

Sonic Emitter: Robo Scorpion. I like the Emitter for its uniqueness and customizability, and I like this version best for effectively combining an energy gun with a grenade. Sure, it's risky, but that just makes it even more interesting to use.

Automatic Rifle. It was a tossup between this and the .45 Submachine Gun. Both are the best assault rifles in the game, and both also look pretty cool, with the latter edging out just because it looks like a tommy gun when fully upgraded (tommy guns are cool). Unfortunately, it uses a rare ammo that you're not going to find anywhere outside of Zion, and which would probably be better off used for the Light. The Automatic Rifle may be heavier and not as durable, but .308s are a lot easier to come by, not to mention the process of getting it means you're not likely to be short of .308s and repair kits anyway (due to the handy vending machine). So it wins.

Holorifle. Hey, it looks kinda' neat, the shot is interesting, and it otherwise acts like a much improved Gauss rifle. The LAERs are kind of...boring to me.

Great Bear Grenade Rifle. Eh, I'm not too wild about any of these. The base game's Thump-Thump or even a fully modded grenade rifle are good enough, if not better than most of these. The Great Bear rifle wins in that I like the pattern on it, and prefer straight up power per shot over overall DPS.

MF Hyperbreeder isn't classified as a "laser" weapon for some odd reason.

Though if someone would check the GECK and prove me wrong please do so.

EDIT: Guess I'm wrong.....again.
