DLC: What do you want to see?

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 9:47 am

Did a search haven't seen it posted yet/

So what does everyone want to see from DLC? More maps, weapons or game modes?

Personally I'd like more maps like Skyline. I'm an air stompper and so love the verticality and I prefer its smaller size because battles are easier to find there's less running to find a fight and more fighting. More maps with a similar size and layout would be great.

The maps that are more sprawling everyone still seems to congregate in one area: Pier 17 in the mall, Downed Bird on top of the stairwell behind the Ceph ship, Lighthouse at the lighthouse. I prefer the smaller maps because there's much more player movement and less down time between engagements

With the max player count at 12, the smaller maps play much better IMO

maybe a game mode were you can play as the ceph would be cool. also a few more customisation options to make your suit diffrent to everybnody elses. also i like the idea of having one nanosuit agains a team of normal soliders in wich you have to kill the suit to become the suit. but to be honest id just like the patch to fix the game before i think about dlc.

A juggernaut game mode would be very fun with the juggernaut having maximum nanosuit

Playing as the Ceph would be pretty cool too in a game mode similar to generator defense maybe
Or 4 on 8 with Ceph having 3 specific loadout options like air stomp, stealth enhance, mobility enhance

May be a VIP extraction mode where the VIP has Maximum Armor, no stealth and a pistol with infinite ammo.

I'm hopeful they're working on a third title update that will fix the remaining issues. I honestly can't see them releasing DLC until the game is working as intended

I think a sort of zombie mode would be cool but instead of zombies you fight against the ceph creatures and each round will be harder with more and stronger ceph creatures and you can play it alone or with 3 other players and for each kill you make you get a bit of XP for you rank and if you complete the game you get a bonus like extra XP for you rank or armor or power or stealth

I want damn Co-op mode for this game, it would so fun to kill tons of Ceph with friends. but too bad they won't give that.

May be SinglePlayer experience DLC

I'd like to see some more guns, and maybe a Co-op mode only can only hope.

I think something along the lines of Firefight or Horde would be great!

I wonder if CryEngine 3 is capable of co-op play though Maybe for Crysis 3! ;)

I'd like to see a couple more maps, specifically ones like Skyline and Statue. Hopefully they can also add a couple more guns, its tough coming from Call of Duty games where there are a ton of guns to Crysis. I'm not complaining about a lack of guns/maps, it would just be nice to see more.

I also agree with most of you, there are some multiplayer problems that need to be ironed out before anything is released

I wish for some vehicle maps, along with smaller maps for the higher chance of running into someone.

Ahh, how you people would even play Battlefield is beyond me...

How can you complain about too big maps on this game?!? It's ridiculous. I don't want any more cluster fu*ks like Impact.

The smaller maps have less camping and better player movement.
I guess if you're into camping with a sniper and retriever I can understand why you'd prefer larger maps.

Oh and you're wrong BTW, Impact is one of the best MP maps I've ever played form a design stand point. One building collapsed and leaning into another, that's brilliant design..period

You know what, I never realized it was two buildings... I just thought it was like a residential area of the building....

But that map is really small (that's what she said), it just gets really frustrating in Instant Action because you're never really safe because of how quick the player movement around the map can be.

Good aesthetics != good gameplay.

I play BC2 with an assault kit most of the time and I love the sheer massiveness of the maps as it adds to the tactical gameplay when combined with an objective gamemode. It gives you so many more options than just run around like a headless chicken and hope to headbutt someone with cloak on. That is why I prefer maps like Downed Bird and Statue.

I'd agree if the player count were 18 instead of 12 the larger maps are just too big for 12 players I spend way to much time looking for a foe then fighting one.

Besides, most games on the large maps end up in one, small, centralized location anyway.

For instance
Pier 17 everything ends up in the mall
Statue everything ends up on top of the concrete building in the back
Downed Bird everything ends up on top of the stair well behind the crashed Ceph ship.

Because of the map rotation coupled with the migration issue I've only played a few games on Sanctuary, but on all the maps the fighting tends to centralize around the high ground with little to no sunlight.

I'd rather them design maps more akin to Skyline, I love the verticality. I believe, out of all the maps, all the weapons and game mechanics work best on this map.

Good point with Skyline, although my favourite map is Terminal as I have the most fun while playing on it.

I think they could possibly increase the player count for bigger maps but I think that is asking too much from Crytek ATM.

what I wanna see?

-new single campaign featuring Psycho as the main character.
-bigger multiplayer maps featuring vehicles.

Other than that...

*edit* oh, and also better balancing in the gameplay, hate to see lvl1 noob vs lvl 30 dude carrying a Feline or Grendel with some nice unlocked weapon & armor modules, it's just not fair.

I would be happy to see co-op but I bet that it will just be extra maps.

A horde mode, This game is "cry"ing out for one.

A horde mode in which you collect catalyst to buy attachments and modules on the fly and to use them to purchase weapons and support bonuses in a shop.

More single player would be incredible.

Also, if they added these 2 moves to single player:

1. Grab a guy with "x." Then, jump from a high place to use the guy's body to break your fall. Great getaways with that.

2. Approach a guy, 2x tap "x" to disarm him and take his gun. Or, holding "y" might be an even better way to go.

Or, we could hold the melee button from the front to pull of the disarm.
