DLC I would like to see in Skyrim

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 10:08 am

Top 3 for me

3) More/more interesting and useful spells. Especially in destruction. I really only resort to spamming firebolt/fireball which gets tedious.
2) Some Epic plotlines. I felt that the Dark Brotherhood questline was awesome, but the other guild/MQ lines were kinda straightforward. Would like to see a DLC with a large overarching quest line.
1) Let me create a fortress from the ground up through quests/purchases. Let me choose what type of castle to build (make a choice rather than having a set of 5 things to buy). Decorating a house is so LAAAAME compared to this. Why was this ever taken out in Oblivion?

Lol, I wondered how long til this came up.

Don't really care what they do, as long as there is a steady stream of DLC or xpacs consistently until the next TES comes.

I read the first dlc bring a questline like the main quest.

1. Mage rework, more spells, more cloths, and a real utility for cloth.
2. The fortress is cool, you chose from archetype fortress, like a warrior fortress, a thief hide cave, a mage tower, etc.

Well i really wating for the expasion haha.

A Stronghold quest would be cool. I'd also like to see an entire revamp of Vampires (because they svck), but that's unlikely to happen.

Also, Horse Armor, for obvious reasons.

A DLC of the popular "Owned" mod -

Basically if I kill all the bandits who own a horse/cave/fortress it is now mine; I BOUGHT IT IN THEIR BLOOD!

There's a really cool dual-tower with bridge over a river bandit fortress that I've moved into (all my stuff is in their dressers, wardrobes and bookshelves) but I wish I could fix it up actually "own" it.

Silver hand guild doesn't follow a certain "pattern" the other guilds do. meaning, you can join the dark brotherhood and companions because a target in the dark brotherhood isn't a companion member, but being part of both werewolf hunters and being a werewolf wouldn't follow that pattern of 'freedom'. However, a necromancy guild follows the pattern as there's nothing that tries to kill it (that you can join at least).

of course, silver hand guild and you being a werewolf could work as long as they don't know you are a werewolf.

I would like to see a few attack/defend locations added. I'm going to throw out an obscure reference here, but in the now defunct MMO Tabula Rasa there were outposts that you can hang around in, and periodically they would come under heavy attack by AI mobs. You either repelled the waves of invaders or you didn't, and if you didn't you would have to recapture the outpost by assaulting it and killing the defenders within. (Outposts contained things like quest hubs and resources so it was at least somewhat important to hold onto or acquire them) Anyway, I think it would be fun to stand alongside fellow Stormcloacks or Imperials and repel attacks by the opposing faction in a keep somewhere.

I actually really like this Idea :)

Now if that happened to your own fortress that you had built, you have a DLC i would drop some serious cash for

As long as this "epic plotline" is not like Knights of the Nine. I hated that DLC - mostly because of the possibility of ruining my character. If I join the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild, I don't want to be some stupid goody-two-shoes knight.

If anything, DLC needs to stay away from junk like New Vegas (where it adds all these new "stay until you're finished" quests) and just add things that enhance the game that is already there. New items, new quests, maybe more land to explore (without constraints), new perks or skills - things like that. The "main quest" in a DLC needs to be isolated from everything else, and started only by the player. I want to visit High Rock or Hammerfell and explore at my leisure, not be thrust into some quest line I can't leave. The DLC needs to be like what Skyrim is right now - completely open ended and ambiguous. I would actually prefer they stay away from super-stories and just add a bunch of smaller content to enhance the world, or fix/add to things that are already there. Expansions on the guilds with more quests, some sense of "rank" and introduction of other guilds (like the fighters guild and mages guild, which would be separate from what's in the game now).

I hate horses. I actively try to get my "gifted" horses killed because I'm tired of them following me around like a puppydog.

What about the people who don't want to be a werewolf, but want to hunt werewolves? Freedom is in that option.

From what I heard, in the Companion's quest you cannot turn down being a werewolf. Which makes me fear it and makes me avoid the companions quest all together. A Silver Hand DLC questline would be the way around it. I'd be joining a Fighter's Guild, just not one that forces me to be a werewolf.

I think Bethesda won't release small DLC packs with Skyrim. They will probably concentrate on content and release large content DLC's as they did with Fallout 3.
I would personally like to see some other regions released with the content packs. Another good idea may be some new content about vampires and werevolves.
