Get Broken Steel, and another of your choosing. Broken Steel being a must.

I disagree

It completely unbalances an already unbalanced leveling system and really isn't all that great anyway

If you have access to download single DLC's I'd recommend The Pitt and Point Lookout but other than that the other DLC's just aren't worth it

I would say lean more towards Fallout New Vegas because story wise it looks like it will be much better

I had a blast with the goty edition. My first playthrough was HUGE :D
It was actually mindblowing to do so many things, have so many weapons and quests..

Im actually pretty sad that there isnt a goty for New Vegas..

Get the goty, then work or get a job to earn money for new vegas.

Personally I hold Every DLC save Mothership Zeta in high regard. It's very flawed (It feels very rushed and unfinished)

You can get GOTY easily for $30 these days, especially online. But yes, it is worth it. I'm not sure it was wise for me to get the DLC separately (although I had to, since GOTY wasn't out yet) but GOTY gets them all for you for the price of one - being included with the original game.

I have to go with the "Get FO3:GOTY now and get FO:NV later if you can't afford both" crowd. I personally am going to wait until New Vegas has a GOTY Edition that is thoroughly patched and perhaps has some expansions as well.

I like all of them except Mothership Zeta. That one is just buggy and broken with lots of Freezeups.

My plan too. I bought the FO3 GOTY about a month ago and still have tons of stuff I have not done in the vanilla game yet, let alone the dlcs that came with the goty. I figure I can play this for another year at least before moving on to another game.

Get vanilla. The DLCs aren't that great anyway and the original game is so rich and full of content that you'll spend a loooong time playing it anyway.
