Doc mitchell fights the powder gangers

Post » Fri Jun 25, 2010 7:10 pm

If you side with the Powder Gangers, the Doc joins in to help defend the town against them.
However, if you side with the town, he mysteriously mentions his bum leg as the reason for why he can't participate in the fight. This doesn't make sense. Why would he only attack the powders if you're helping them take over Good springs? He had just spent days saving your life, and he strikes me as the type of person who would be against violence anyway (since he is a doctor and from his dialogue), plus of course that bum leg should have stopped him, so what's up with him joining the fight.

Also I wonder why Sunny smiles wasn't made available as a companion, she seems like an obvious choice.

I don't understand where you are getting this assumption that doctors want or like to help people.

I was going to be a surgeon, but it was for the glory and the badassery of it. I could give a rats ass about saving someone other than bragging about saving their life after 30 hours into a shift.

Maybe because he saved your life and you've basicly slapped him by siding with powder gangers making him feel like the bad guy thus defending the town in an attempt to correct his wrongs ?
When you defed the town he may realise his help isnt needed and ops out with the excuse of a bad leg....even tho when i've watched him walk theres no limb.

Victor joins in, too.

I figure Doc finally realizes you've taken and sold every loose item in his house and is out for revenge.

The town is better equipped when you side with them. When you side with the gangers they're at a big disadvantage.
