Does anyone actually like Skyrim?

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 5:47 am

I like the game and am disappointed in the game as I know that they can do so much better. This is TES, not some generic unheard of game, we expect TES quality. As for the forums I believe they exist to give constructive critical feedback so that issues can be addressed, not to blow sunshine up someones butt for their hard work (such as all of the thank you beth. threads do).

I think that a lot of misunderstand the threads being made. I like Skyrim. I have voiced a few opinions about the things that are a little irksome. But that doesn't mean I don't or even a person who makes the thread is being negative they are simply voice an opinion about a feature.

I like the game, but there is also things that need to be fixed.

I got it for my birthday. I am enjoying it so much, it took away the horror of hitting 45. Best bit : the number of times I have died, brutally, and been reduced to resetting bear traps for the slightest tactical edge. Haven't hit high levels yet, where I assume you become godlike, but it has been quite some time since a game forced me to run away from anything.

If you aren't smithing/crafting looping, at high levels it's just as epic. It's bad ass.

But really...whenever I find something that makes me want to rage...the scenery gets all beuatiful and I'm all OH YOU <333333.

Sigh. Can't wait for the Creation Kit.

Played since release.. still enjoying it still so much to do and see.. Everytime ive died due to my fault ive started a new character heh.
End of the day the game is what you make of it, Im not powergaming so the game hasnt lost its challange yet new character is now lvl 37 and still has to be careful when fighting the undead hoards though I admit fighting huminoids and animals is much easier as an Illusionist-Thief.

Most days I find something that makes me smile, something ive not seen in previous playthroughs, Just last night I bumped into a farmer complaing about a fool who's cart had broken down and kept asking him to fix it, farmer asked if I could sort it out, turned out it was some man in a jesters outfit who was transporting a box with his mothers corpse in it (For some reason I cant shake the feeling we will meet again down the line :hubbahubba: )
well I persuaded the farmer to lend a hand fixing the cart. My point being thier are so many little touches added in this game that adds to making it a classic.

well im off to markath got to see about establishing the guilds front thier since its the only group I work for!

It's one of my fav games of all time. Up there with ICO and SOTC. Previous Bethesda games were never more than "okay" imo, they've definitely hit their proper peak now.

I've noticed so many negative threads on Skyrim that I wondered if there's anyone out there who actually enjoys the game?

I am a career Troller and I find absolutely nothing wrong with this game.

Complaining about Bethesda games is one of their pleasures. Even though every complaint boils down to a game not being a carbon copy of the previous in the series, they're so huge that you have to put at dozens of hours discovering precisely what it is that you dislike so much, it takes dedication.

Me, I love Skyrim, it's the best game of it's kind I've ever played. It's as if they read my suggestions in the Fallout 4 speculation threads and implemented them just for me.

Sure i love it, it's a really awesome game ! Freedom, very interesting stories, nice gameplay, immersive graphics and much more.

Of course it's far from perfect, the interface is REALLY unhandy and the difficulty level is too low even on the harder mode. I've played it 180 hours so far and i still enjoy it despite the fact that there is no challenge anymore. With upcomming mods i hope i'll be abble enjoy it even more.

Nice work so far, please keep working to tune it to its best.

I personally love the game, but heres what I think... Some people who got the game were indeed, Elder scrolls fans, they knew how the game would be and could enjoy it easily. Some people new to the serires also love the game, however there is the group of people who just dislike skyrim. There are some problems with the game, and I can respect and acknowldedge that. But some people are going to extremes, yes we know that the game has its flaws, but some people are just spamming the forums with "OMG I WANT MY MONEY BACK", "TOO MUCH GLITCHES" "I HATE SKYRIM OMG". Skyrim is a unique game, but some people just can't see that. You have to overlook the small things and see ALL the things that Bethesda did right. Managing a huge world like Skyrim is hard, and Bethesda can improve, but the rest of the game is still great.

Post limit.

I have around 100 hours on the game, had two ctds, not yet completed the main quest and have so much more to do. I absolutely love this game.

Yes, I understand that there are those who are having problems with the game - and where else are they going to come to to have a moan or seek solutions? That is why there are so many negative topics.
