I like it aside from the occasional gripe here and there.

Just takes a little getting used to. :)

I love it actually. The old one was kind of boring. I am liking the layout and everything. A few things could use work but that is about it.

It's not the most accessible forum I've seen.

Just gotta accept the change. It's a good format and works well, and I'm sure Crytek is working on fixing some things.

I do not like it

1) Threads do not bump when you post in them. This is a serious design flaw

2) Avatars do not exist

3) We can't edit our posts

4) There is no way to tell what you have or haven't read

5) The FLAG button is right next to the QUOTE button. Yesterday I accidentally flagged a post when I meant to quote it. There was no confirmation screen.

6) The boxes are annoying. If the original post is too long I can't middle click on the DISCUSS word and thus can't open the thread in a new tab, as the words just run over the word DISCUSS.

7) Why is the webpage squished to the left of the screen? Center it or make it stretch width.

Oh yeah

8) There is no BB code or HTML code. We can't embed images, bold or italicize our font, put in youtube videos, etc. This makes the forums bland, expressionless and without any visual media. I remind you that these are forums FOR A VIDEO GAME.

As it stands now this feels about the level of functionality I would expect posting as an anonymous user in the comment section of some guys blog.

Numbers 1,3,4 are huge issues I hope will be fixed ASAP. I hate having to scroll down the forum to see older threads. If an older thread is posted in, it should be moved to the top of the website and highlighted until you read it. I have had to guess on what I've read and not read already, so some organization would be great.

I can deal without avatars and signatures for the time being, but eventually they need to be implemented so people can show their personality.

Seeing Weavers double post now.

8. I whole heartedly agree. I think that is one of the features that should be at the top of Crytek's priority list.

^yeah, for sure. I just feel so... I dunno. I really DO feel like I'm just an anonymous user posting here. I know I have a name, but It's like I just can't function here.

Remember Aegis' crazy thread with the pineapple nomad and the suit strength throwing the sky scraqer? We can't have any more fun threads like that because we can't even embed images.

It's like with this change the FUN was removed from the forum and replaced with dozens of "WHERE IS THE BETA KEY !~~" threads that, unfortunately, garner dozens of replies whereas interesting threads just sink to the bottom into obscurity, unnoticed.

I would say the format is pretty nice, with a little bit of tweaking it will be good. I don't like how there is no screen with all the different threads listed so that you can go through and read them all. I don't like how they just sit off to the side. I feel that as more threads are made, this will get messy and hard to work with. Other than that, they just need to add avatars and signatures, and they are golden.

About the beta: if you look again at the early sign up benefits, Crytek removed the Crysis 2 Beta Opportunity as the first benefit. So no Crysis 2 Beta as of yet, go complain somewhere else console noobs, the game is still 6 months away, Crytek must have meant to keep it small when they said that and not expect so much attention because of it. I am sure we will still get beta keys, just maybe in a different manner than Crytek originally planned.

I agree with you Weaver. We just have to keep in mind that the website is still heavily WIP and that this stuff must be high up on the priority list, but they are certainly big issues.

Nothing like Pineapple Nomad to lighten up your day! :D

I wouldn't say that it's ugly or hard to go through. It actually looks pretty sleek and flashy. Though, admittedly, there are things that need tweaking.

I'm just a little ticked they removed the old comfortable and perfectly working forum for this. If it's not even finished, why jump the gun and kill the old forum?

I hate forums that don't have a trail at the bottom and make me CTRL Home to get to the trail at the top. I'm always surprised when this happens. What type of monitor are these folks using to not provide something so basic and simple.
