Since becoming archmage, I've been in the archmages quarters a lot (enchanting, searching, alchemy). Seeing the chair Aren used to sit in makes me remember all the good times we had together.

Yeah, you don't end up interacting with him very much at all in the game, much like Kodlak in the Companions questline, so it's not like you really get a chance to become best buddies with him.
I actually liked him (or at least as much as i can considering how little you talk to him), and a mod I have actually adds
MIRABELLE DIED!!! I'm actually fine with that. She was a B****
woops. sorry
Forgot this was the general section and not the other section
I miss him. The college seems emptier without him
When does she die? Not during the main CoW quest???
I will not spoil anything more, you should find it out for yourself (unless you REALLY want to know)
Can u just tell me if it already happened and I didn't realize, or if it's like a side quest when she died?
Oh, then she's already dead in my game. Wow, I can't believe I haven't noticed that!
If he, like the rest of the questline, were expanded upon so much more, I'd miss him more. But yeah, he was a cool dude
I wonder what were you doing for 3 minutes? Repeating the same lines like 5 times?
Anyway, same here. Amount of interaction with the guy was pathetic. The whole College of Winterhold is like me joining a political party, president being assassinated after 5 days and since I'm already there everyone are like "Hey dude, you were doing almost nothing at all so we think you'd be a good president, you in?".
well he never dies in my character's stories, so no, hes doing just fine
Labyrinthian is used to test Archmage candidate, so if you survive it you deserve to be archmage. It's in the lore.
Labyrinthian might not be challenging in game but in lore few survive it. It has all kind of challenge needed for an archmage.
CMIIW.
This. Pretty much.
It's my main criticism of all of the Vanilla Factions barring the Thieves Guild. You just do not interact with any of the NPCs belonging to the faction to form any true kind of connection with them. The questlines are just too short and force you to complete them immediately, in one two hour go. THen they're finished. The baancing, and integration of Radiant Quests is nothing short of Abyssmal. Bethesda really dropped the ball with these, and it frustrates me that in all tyhe patching in between release and the ebd of Skyrim's development they never spaced these out.
