Nobody told them Skeevers were rats, and they all starved to death. Silly Goblins.

I always hated them in Oblivion, they were [censored] annoying.

But they would fit in Skyrim.

To tell you the truth, I hate goblins. Bethesda simply took chimpanzees and made their ears pointy.

I too found them annoying in Oblivion. I did hope there would be a few for varieties sake. All major cities need to have sewers to explore too. Perhaps mods can fix this

The OP might be the only person that liked the goblins in Oblivion.

Don't miss them at all. Falmer fill the same niche, are less generic, cooler looking and more interesting to fight. I think they've done a solid by getting rid of the stock fantasy-type enemies in Skyrim.

Goblins are native to Cyrodiil, so them showing up in Skyrim wouldn't really make sense. Plus, the Falmer (or Light Elves) are pretty much the same as the goblins, just a little larger and tougher. Plus they have a pretty cool back-story, if you take the time to read about it. I do agree though, that Skyrim should have a larger bestiary, but I'm happy. They have dragons. :D

I could never stand the Goblins in Oblivion, they looked too cartonny, and I hated how some of them were easy and others weren't, the Falmer are a fitting replacement and not as annoying, but I do wish they would be outside as well sometimes.

yeah the goblins have a whole what like 3 miles and an invisible border blocking them from getting into skyrim. Too bad..

Until I came here reading about them not being in the game I hadn't even realized they weren't so..no.

With that said, is this Skyrims Horse armor DLC perhaps? Goblin DLC.

First of all, there was Goblin in Arena, Daggerfall and Tribunal.
Second, Falmer are Snowelves.
Third, I'd like Goblins for varietys sake. The Skyrim beastery are really lackluster.
Seriously, no Minotaurs, no Ogres, no Rieklings, no Cliffracers (:sadvaultboy:) no Netches (near the Morrowind border) no Goblins and no variety in summonable Daedra. (Clannfear, Scamp,
Daedroth, Ogrim, Winged Twilights etc.)

But the game is fun, and I like the beastery that made it into the game.

AFAIK, the Falmer were also present in Morrowind: Bloodmoon although they were called Reiklings. MW had both goblins and Falmer.

Are you sure? The Rieklings were hairy little bastards, with culture different from the Falmer one. The lore around the Falmer was in place by that time so it doesn't make much sense.

I miss variation in general.
Skyrim have less than 1/3 of possible encounters even oblivion had!

Rieklings are not Falmer. In fact there were doubt that Falmer even existed last time we visited the Norths.
Now they're just throwin in randomly in Skyrim without much explanation...

I don't miss how goblins were EVERYWHERE!

If they had a modest spawn rate, and a modest amount then sure, seeing one every once in a while would be okay. In Oblivion though it was pretty much 100 Goblins for every 1 other creature you found. Was absolutely ridiculous.
