Ugh, that green tint was disgusting.

Yeah, it provided a cool, gloomy feel sometimes, but it was just overkill all around.

I much prefer the brighter color pallet of the Mojave Wasteland.

No.

Just . . . no.

You realize radiated areas aren't really green, right?

I much prefer the varied shaders and tints used in New Vegas. Heavily radiated areas may be tinted one color, while afternoon sunsets, or clean beaches may be tinted another. And some areas aren't tinted at all and its great!

I found the green tint from Fallout 3 to be a bit much, as well.

I prefer the clear skies of the Vegas Valley.

The green tint was just gross, I hope it never comes back.

No, I got a "clear skies" mod to get rid of that dust in the air after I finished my first game.

On a side note, if you miss the green tint that much....

Spoiler
You can just go to the Searchlight region, it's full of Ferals and the likes, I won't say why

Just hang out in Searchlight. As soon as you get close, the game starts to look like 3. I'm pretty sure they did it on purpose.

But still, you're crazy. That gross green tinge everywhere was terrible. I loved 3, but I was convinced my TV's color was off when I first played it.

I hate the barf green tint that Fallout 3 has. New Vegas' piss yellow tint isn't that much better. I got a mod that removes it, and the game looks so much better.

Out of every time I ever played Fallout3 I never saw a green tint ever. I loaded it up to see if I'd noticed it if someone pointed it out and I still don't see any green tint. Maybe my copy of F3 is just better than yours.

If you mean the Hud colour surely you can change it in menu? If the tint I'm not really bothered either way.

The settings on your monitor or television are probably just screwed up (in a good way, though, since it gets rid of Fallout 3's tint.)

Brighter palette? Green-ness? Outdoors, Fallout 3 was mostly browns, tans, along with FNV. FO3 would switch from a brown to blue tint, when you reached the Enclave HQ.

The blue sky in FNV isn't as dramatic as they were suggesting it'd be. I'm glad to report FNV is almost as dreary and broken down in scenery as FO3, as I prefer it to be. Bleak is how I like my games, but not too dark.

I loaded up Fallout 3 to try to figure out what green tint you guys are talking about but the only green tint I can find is on the intro screen and a mental thing from the color of the HUD.

To the OP: Try changing the hud color and see if that helps. I went for blue since the orange default made my eyeballs ignite.

The greenness was cool for about the first hour, then it just got annoying.

Perhaps if everything wasn't "all green, all the time", I might have appreciated it more.

I would much rather have the orange tint of the Mojave than the green tint of DC.

Well, in actuality, I'd rather have neither. I'd like for my color palette to be as "realistic" as possible. One reason why I'm playing with http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34888

Go to the Mall during the day and look up at the sky. It's very cloudy and has a very noticeable green tint to it. That's "the greenness."

EDIT: For those of you who want to see what "the greenness" is, then just check out this http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/2672-1-1243509264.jpg of vanilla Fallout 3 (on the left) and Fallout 3 with Fellout (on the right).

Prefer NV over Fallout 3, that tint was to much after a while.

The screenshots for the Fellout mod (removes the dust/green, among other things) show what we're talking about

I never really noticed the green tint in Fallout 3, but I had Xepha's Dynamic Weather installed, and I won't swear that it didn't adjust that tint. Fellout was just too cheery for my tastes and I preferred the tint. But I also installed mods like the Green Grass of Home, which made the grass slightly greener then the default dead yellow.

The clear blue sky in NV is nice, I guess most of the weather issues with all the dust in the air have mostly gone away and there's less cloud cover now.

This.

I didn't much like the brightness of NV compared to FO3. The green hud at least helps a little.
