Full health, that's just good gameplay.
Stable the horse and shut the gate, that's just good RP.

I don't know if it's OCD, but whenever I open or close a door that leads directly into the next area (no cut scene) I HAVE to save my game. Whenever I turn on my PS3 and load up one of my games, therefore it always starts with my character standing before a door, which always opens or closes.

From what I understand, and don't get me wrong I'm no expert, but I thought OCD meant repeating the same action over and over again, to the point that nothign actually gets done. And it's as if not doing that particular action would cause some sort of catastrophe (in the sufferer's mind). Like somebody goes to their refrigerator, and has to remove the eggs from the carton in a particular manner or else. Or he/she has to tap their head 9x whenever leaving the house. STuff like that.

I knew a guy who suffered from OCD (he got over it by the time I met him) and he told me some horror stories about it. I have my phobias, but they don't even compare to what he was describing.

I am completely obsessive about harvesting alchemical ingredients. If I see a plant, I have to pick it for alchemy. It does not matter if I already have a hundred of them already. I just cannot stop myself.

I've got plenty of obsessive-compulsive tendencies while playing Oblivion (or living, in general). I don't like leaving doors open, if I even think I hear some messed up sound or see something strange while the game is saving or loading, I need to save or load, again (weird, I know... not sure how to fully explain it), I always need to completely heal after a battle, diseases and temporarily lowered stats always bother me, avoiding efficient leveling is very difficult, for me, etc.

I remember you saying this a while back.

My character and I have had to break some tendancies that took some effort to stop doing: She does not pick up loot unless she intends to use it. She won't even pick up gold coins. Money is so easy that she insists on specifically earning it when she needs some. Same with not picking every ingredient. She now has a fairly short list of things she will pick, and even then, not once they get above a certain number. Even now though, it is hard to walk past a nightshade plant without reaching for it. Lol.

There are some other behaviors that one might consider odd though. She uses a lot of spells. When done with an effect (say water breathing under a flooded portion of a dungeon), she will dispel the effect rather than let it expire by time.

She has so few hitpoints that if she looses even one, she heals it as soon as she possibly can. That truely does simply make sense in her case though. She is similarly very particular about keeping her bow charged and repaired after every fight if at all possible.
