Well, if you been following Skyrim, then you know then got stuff from both Oblivion, and Fallout to this game. The whole Perks thing in general was from Fallout.

well they did make fallout 3 so you gotta expect some things to carry over
i dont think therell be anything directly moved from FO to Skyrim but there will be some things that just feel fallouty in it for sure
and what have you seen thats similar to vats?

Hopefully they've only taken good, appropriate things from Fallout but are still keeping the Elder Scrolls feel, without it intruding.

If by feel you mean world tone, then no.

If your saying they are going to pick up some basic concepts (read abstracted from their implementation in fallout) and carry over what they could, then yes.

I think some aspects of the gameplay mechanics might feel a little closer to Fallout 3 than Oblivion. But the combat (melee, bow and magic instead of predominantly guns) will feel significantly different. The artstyle, while clearly being by the same people, will be drastically different. The world will be totally different, with a much more stable and secure feel to the settlements, and different attitudes and personalities to the NPCs.

I'm confident this will most definitely feel like an Elder Scrolls game in Tamriel.

Not really. The only similarities I see being 'perks' and cinematic kills.

A little bit but not a lot. It'll feel more like Oblivion without the baggage and a whole bunch of improvements.

When I think of Fallout, what I think of is a post apocalyptic science-fiction world, more specifically, though, it's one with a very retrofuturistic feel to it, distinguishing it from say... S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which is based more on modern ideas, the styles, philosophies and even some of the science of Fallout's world are inspired by a '50s mindset, but it's post apocalyptic setting creates a world where people have to struggle against hostile environments and dangerous creatures to survive. I'm not really seeing that in Skyrim, I guess you could argue that the game's rugged environment does create a dangerous world, but being as we don't have radiation and it still feels more civilized than Fallout's world, it still will be below Fallout in terms of its harshness, really, the game doesn't feel much like Fallout as well, while a few elements from Fallout may have migrated into Skyrim, these are not the primary elements that make Fallout feel like, well, Fallout, and I'm not going to feel like I'm playing Fallout just because there are perks in the game, the world and tone of the game is too different.

So no, Skyrim really doesn't feel like Fallout to me at all.

Unfortunatley, yes. WAY TOO MUCH has come from Fallout 3 and hardly anything from Morrowind, Daggerfall and Arena.

As a matter of fact I think Bethesda pretty much has decided that Oblvion and Fallout 3 are the only 2 games they should get ideas from and that is a HUGE mistake.

I disagree. There is much more to fallout 3's vats system than "slowing down time and finishing moves". And the perks system is an improvement, in my opinion.

No, I don't think this is the case at all. There are many things that have been brought over from all of those games. Bethesda is using what they've learned in all of the past TES games as well as FO3.

And "cinematic kills" are in lots of games, especially fantasy/melee games, these days. Not necessarily a "Fallout" feature.

Fallout 3 felt a lot like Oblivion. Other than the perks, (which seem like a good idea at this point) it doesn't feel at all like Fallout to me.

Until there's a bird's eye view, it definitely won't feel like Fallout. >_>

I'm not 100%, but I think Skyrim will not have a post-apocalyptic atmosphere...

It seems it will be more like Fallout than previous games, but this is understandable given the series's more recent success. I think it will still be TES at it's core though.

If Bethesd used what they learned in Morrowind, Daggerfall and Arena Oblivion would have been completely different.

As far as Bethesda is concerned they have 2 games, Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Not once have I heard Morrowind, Daggerfall or Arena is any interview. The only 2 games I've heard in interviews are Fallout 3 and Oblivion. All I see in Skyrim so far are characteristics from Fallout 3 and Oblivion.

The only thing from Fallout should be the technology used to make the AI, not characteristics like Perks and slow down time.
