Does anyone here have any experience with Google DFP?

I have a dilemma that I can't seem to figure out an answer to. I've used my best google-fu, posted in DFP-centric forums, etc.

Let's say I have a website built in Wordpress that, for whatever reason, only has one valid spot to put an ad unit (the right hand sidebar). I don't control the website, I'm just running the DFP and front-end of it, so I can't just ad in another spot for an ad into the code.

So there's this one ad space that is the same across the entirety of the website. Whatever ad is on the front page is on any subsequent pages, etc. What I want to do is have a different ad show up on a particular sub-page in that same ad spot. Is this possible with DFP without having to add in custom scripting to the website (which I cannot do)?

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.

So it's impossible.

It may be possible to inject content depending on what "front-end" involves

I just can't figure out why it's so easy to target someone in town A with advertisemant X and someone in town B with advertisment X, but not someone on website.com/pageA vs. someone on website.com/pageB.

That part just makes no sense to me.

I'm technically an "admin", but I still have certain features stripped away from me. For example if I post anything with a
