Does anyone miss riot gear?

Do any of you miss having riot gear from New Vegas?

I thought riot gear was way more cool looking than power armor and served as a substitute to those who hadn't received power armor training in the game. Although I think if implemented by DLC by Bethesda it'll be different in terms of protection than what it was in New Vegas. Still it'd be great if it made an appearance later on in this game.

I really enjoyed the Elite Riot armor from Lonesome Road. Anyone wanting to see a comeback?

I never wore the Riot Gear, but I did like the looks of it.

I tend to wear the lightest armors in the game so that is why the Riot Gear was out for me.

Loved the riot gear especially The Elite Riot Gear from the dlc. All my characters had a set along with Boone's Beret, topped off with a pair of shades.

I preferred Courier's Duster, but yes, those long coats look good on any character ^_^

I think the Riot Gear & Trench Coat combo should stick to being a New Vegas thing, but some actual riot armor would fit in really nicely with the layered armor system. Would love to have a police uniform, too, as a base layer item to complete the set.

Probably one of the coolest armor designs of the entire series. I doubt we'll see it in DLC for Fallout 4, but if any future Fallout games take place back on the west coast, I would like to see it again.

This^

It may sound odd, but it just seemed like you could die from heat exhaustion wearing it in the Mohave. I just about always wore the light leather from the DLC. It would probably be nice for Boston weather though.

YES!!!!

I loved the Ranger Combat Armor!!! (and it's variants)

Was my favorite. Still is. Definitely want it again!

edit: So far, the only thing even close to that cool long coat look is the Drifter Outfit. Once I got BW MK V, I could wear my Armored Press Cap with the Drifter outfit and have an approximation of it... but a poor one.

It was my favorite set of armor. At least I could take a few bullets unlike the cloth and light wearers

Yes! Really disappointed it, or something akin to it, wasn't in the game. And yes, the Elite Riot Gear was the best of all the ranger-type armors (I lump the five different versions all together because of the iconic style). Had to go to the Divide to get it...made it all worthwhile. Awesome headgear. Bethesda doesn't seem to really do cool though.

BTW, this just in...released in the last couple of days, a new mod up on Nexus for Ranger type armor fans:

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9034/? NCR Ranger version.

Even comes with a stand alone antimateriel rifle....Thank God... Already over 27k DL's and over 1100 endorsemants.

You're welcome.

Never played the past games but, looking at the Riot Gear in the wiki, it is pretty awesome looking. I wish there was a way to wear, say, a gas mask AND a helmet. Gas mask + Army helmet = approximate look of the head gear.

I miss dusters in general

but then again, bethesda still hasnt understood that people want to be able to acutally wear the cool clothes without drawbacks...and even after litterally everybody is crying about the clothing system forever they STILL havent changed anything - beyond me why

Why not simply seperate armor from clothing completly like the division does or the secret world - or alternatively just make armor fitting / wearable with all clothes (or make it optionally visible cause honestly most of the armor looks really clunky)

definatly the better option than just produce 100 cool clothes for the garbage can... or have modders fix issues that shouldnt exist in the first place

It's a really cool suit, but I had couple of problems with it in NV. 1. It's cloth physics weren't that great (trench coats and long robes are probably the hardest ones to make) 2. it was also used by NCR Rangers and there wasn't a version that looked unique enough (I don't like wearing something that looks like a faction outfit (to which I don't belong to)).

As for it being added in DLC, yeah, it would be nice. Maybe a NCR Ranger (current or ex) who's chasing Kellogg comes to Commonwealth. Events transpire and the Ranger retires/dies and you get his/her gear. Of course, that's assuming the gear was unique to Mojave area.

Not necessarily the riot gear, but I loved the ranger gear look. The desert ranger gear was my absolute favorite. It was nice and beat up, with all the previous owners scribblings on the helmet. It fit perfectly in the wasteland.

Oh and metal gear solid v skins. Ported directly from the game with permission from that Developer!

I see your :gun: and raise you

:mage:

edit: On a fun note, it will be interesting to see how many folks convert to the pc, just to make some fun mods to port back to the console. YAY for new blood, it makes the grass grow.

I actually love dusters and trench coats in games. I rocked the trench coat and silver shroud armor all through my playthrough. Would have been cool to be able to put a bulletproof vest on under most clothing for some dr

yep me too, used to always go reverse pick pocket ol Orion for the explorer gear

loved the look of that and had pretty sweet DT

the ranger/riot gear was very cool though really liked it

always outfitted Boone in one of them for its looks, sans helmet ofcourse so he could wear his beret

would love to see this ingame as well as many many many of the weapons/armour from NV

I liked the look but honestly the regular riot gear never really caught my fancy. Now the Elite Riot Gear, that's my favorite armor in any game (next to BoS T-60) and I can't wait for the Fallout 4 mod of it.
