I know lots of us have thought about it. But do you think it should/will ever happen?

"http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tribunal:Dwemer_Satchel_Pack#Dwemer_Satchel_Pack" have already reared their ugly heads in TES.

I think that should be both their first and last appearance myself, along with "No guns/cannons, no way, no time, no how!"

I would greatly appreciate the use of some small, bomb like things, as a plot-specific element, not as a weapon. Maybe if you'd have to fetch one or two from some old dwemer ruin in order to advance in the main/side quest, that would be awesome. And if you had already found and sold them, building another would be a loong and difficult task.

As for the muskets, that's where I draw the line. Small, rare dwarven explosives with gunpowder or similar are fine though :)

I voted yes on the first pole - there were Dwemer satchels in Tribunal that you could use to blow up rocks, so stuff similar to dynamite would be okay. I'm not sure how I'd feel about using them in combat.

Guns is a definite no, never.

It's a no from me. I'm usually quite laid back when it comes to polls for features (can take or leave most things), but if muskets were in, I may have to throw a hissy fit :P

Definitely not the same as throwing a molotov cocktail. Otherwise i would just pretend my bow is a crossbow, or my sword is a polearm

I can make spells that do damage in a radius. That works for me.

I hope TES just stays in the old fantasy times if they do what Fable does and includes guns I am probably going to stop playing TES because other then something really primitive I do not want any type of firearm other then a bow or magic I find it stupid to move something so far up in history to the point when they have guns

If you remember in Morrowind Tribinual when you had to get the sword (forgotten the name) reforged, you was sent on a quest by the dwarf ghost, there was a part which was too small to climb through and you had to locate a snatchel of explosive powder to widen the hole (the explosive powder may have been developed by the dwarfs (dwemer)

I'd like to see a unique or extremely rare dwemer matchlock rifle.

Not expecting anybody to agree because most people are ignorant about weapons and know absolutely nothing about firearms technology so they don't even know what a matchlock gun is. Long story short it's about as complex as a crossbow.

The dwemer had satchel charges in tribunal so it's obvious they invented explosives.

Whether it is Magic or Alchemy or whatever; if it can significantly alter the environment, I am happy.

I actually think we'll see mine-like explosives in Skyrim. Iirc, it sounds like with Magika you'll be able to place magic traps and runes on the ground. If there are fire-based ones...well let's just say "if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...".

But, in regards to muskets? No. Please no. This is why I play Fallout.

If there is a grenade it better be the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch so thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits, in Thy mercy.

I like the idea as long as it's part of Alchemy... I talked a little bit about this in my Alchemy Ideas thread. Check it out: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1160690-alchemy-ideas/page__p__17031942__fromsearch__1#entry17031942

Using a barrel of gunpowder to blow something up.
Fine.

Some primitive canons.
Fine.

Guns and stuff (even though primitive).
Ugh, don't like it that much.

Still, I think that all the fireworks, so to speak, would be best left in TES sequel where we get introduced with some other continent instead of just Tamriel and make all that firework stuff e used on that continent and introduced to us only when that civilization gets to Tamriel.

Why are there so many people making the assumption that such a feature would need to be implemented in such an asinine and moronic way as Fable III did it?

A realistic matchlock rifle

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KTS8PQ06Qo

Don't quote me to disagree unless you watched the entire video.

Takes 20 seconds minimum to reload, but the wound it creates is devastating. These rifles were around 800 years ago, the technology is that old. These were used towards the tail-end of the medieval times, being one of the big innovations. Though it was new, it was used alongside normal calvary and footsoldiers wielding swords and bows and such,a t this point it didn't outright replace the older methods of war. Given that the game is in a new era I couldn't feel strongly one way or another if a few matchlocks were put into the game, since I don't feel they would be out of place, so long as they were portrayed realistically. It shouldn't be "I HAEV GUN I OWN UUU PEW PEW" because these weapons did not work in such a way, I think a bowman fighting a matchlock rifleman would basically be an evenly matched fight.

To me, I think rifles could be propagated in such a way that they seem like the new "evil technology" of the era, used by mundane men with no grasp of magic.

Or the game could have none at all. I'm just saying I wouldn't feel strongly one way or another if a few matchlocks were implemented, so long as they are rare and not super OP.
