The MP7 is an SMG, but for BRINK, it's a Machine Pistol, meaning it can be a sidearm even for Lights.

The Hockler machine pistol is presumed to be...a machine pistol. So a light secondary weapon, like the other machine pistol in the game.

Is there any source for this?

Because I haven't seen any other game which classifies the MP7 as a sidearm. And I want to use the MP7 + a pistol. :confused:

So the Security can use that rusty old revolver from the Psycho pack? Doesn't seem like it would fit in at all.

No, the Security can use a shiny new revolver from the Psycho pack.
And the Resistance can use an old and rusty MP7 from the Spec Ops pack.

No source, other than the fact that every weapon has its weapon type in its name.
"Maximus Machine Gun"
"Rokstedi AR"
"Kross SMG"

and then "Hockler Machine Pistol"

I agree that if the MP7 was made realistically, it would be better suited for SMG class, but it would presumably be called "Hockler SMG" then.

I still see no reason why you can't take the Hockler as your primary. It's not like it's going to be too big to equip or anything...
