You can get it for like five pounds and I've never played the original two games. But, do they run on Windows 7?

Normally they don't.
You have to have apply unofficial patches.

I'm playing Fallout 1 and 2 that way.
If you're having trouble you should google 'Fallout Revived' it would help you out if you don't know how to apply the patches.

Edit: I'm also using a 64-bit computer.

I had major issues with both on Windows 7, as colors were completely tripping when I launched the games.

Like I said. If you buy tht Fallout Clasic Collection on the disc, then it comes with the color patches to fix it. Then when you are on steam you will just have to look them up.

Oh I didn't know that, I thought it came without the patches :S

Try googling Fallout Revived, both games work flawlessly.

There's this ridiculous bug with the collectors edition where it makes two game folders, one for black isle and one for Whitle Label, and sticks the exe in one folder and all the music files in the other. I hope they fired the moron who did that.

That's relatively easy to fix, though. The hard part was getting Fallout 2 to run. I had to reinstall it about six times before it would work.
