Does hardcoe mode = easy mode?

I know this doesn't really fit into Crysis but this is an argument that I have with my friend. He plays CoD and complains that it takes full clips to kill someone (a lie) and rather than try and get better at the game he opts for hardcoe because people die quicker.

His argument is that you die quicker as well but personally I don't see how this changes the fact that hardcoe is easier than the standard mode. Factoring in that you die easily in hardcoe mode in my opinion is only relevant if you care about your kill/death ratio.

And so upon him hearing that in this game you have a bit more health he claims that this is easy mode because you have more health in CoD - enough for you to react to damage and counter.

So what do you all think? Would you say that hardcoe mode is easier than "core" mode?

If you care about KD, no. If you do, yes.

In hardcoe modes, etcetera, it is MUCH easier for a noob to kill a pro. As health increases, the pro will win more and more easily against a noob. Unreal Tournament and Quake are examples of games where beginners quite simply just get trounced with zero kills.

For the record, I'd much rather get trounced than get an easymode game that makes me feel good about myself.
