They say to close the light which makes sense, but then again so does listening to 3dog's unique voice resonaate through the dark metro tunnels.

You do have to shut the light off but listening to the radio has no effect on stealth. I listen all the time, even during combat. "Butcher Pete" and the Deathclaw Gauntlet can't be beat.

As said above, yeah it doesn't. Just the light does.

Strangely no It doesn't I know that it's strange but hey it means you can listen to good ol' three dog even when sneaking up on raiders.

I always turned it off, since sound affects stealth, I figured it would give me away.

Damn, I could've had some good times silently slaughtering people to cheery 40's music.
