Does not work on high end gaming PC's. How is this allowed?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 6:52 pm

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE ORIGINAL POST! I CAN NOT CAP MY FPS TO 60 AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS. It does run great. Until I have to use a computer terminal or a cutscene comes up. The game is literally speed up.

This is now added to the list of reasons of why I don't use my PC for gaming.

It's derailing because all he offered was his opinion of "72 FPS is great". That has nothing to do with this thread. Everyone is too busy to get on the hate train and bash me and other many other players who have a monitor that goes over 60hz instead of addressing the actual problem.

Plain and simple the game breaks itself when it goes over 60 fps. That is ridiculous!!!

posting this on a section of the forum where we have to report posts to the volunteer moderators for them to even notice any given post, and are virtual the only ones who actualy even bother to read anything here most of the time, was a wast of time to start with.

The actual developers tend to only look at the bug form to see if there are any issues, as the general forum is usually spammed with pointless petty bickering about things like lore and why no super stimpacks are proof that Bethesda is ignoring the lore, dumbing down the game, violating every "law" of role playing , and are actively trying to destroy fallout.

Therefore if you insist on this NOTbeing in the bug repot section where it belongs because it's not actualy a bug or hardware issue, and is , where the the people who are actualy supposed to fix bugs with the game actualy monitor issues like this and are most likely to see the post and actualy do something about it.then I hate to tell you this but you are the one who's an idiot.

If I had to choose between this limitation or having to wait another year or two for this game (because new engine) I'd gladly accept the former one, yes.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Exactly. And that'S the reason you're having this problem. I meant that I wouldn't want to wait longer because Beth had to develop a new engine to fix your issue.

He was saying he did not want to wait 2+ years for then to create a new game engine to get fallout on PC.

Because again a game dev can not take every factor into account, in this case Beth could not take into account folks would try and play there game above the common standard of 60 fps. Does that mean Beth should be without blame? No, but the blame lays more on there lack of information to consumers about these issues, rather then the issue itself.

So yes it is Okey that the game has issues if you try and play it over 60 fps, but its not Okey that folks where not informed of this issue and people like OP spent money on a game they cant play.

I dont have a g-sync monitor but did you have to turn off the FPS cap in order to use g-sync? The game was released and shipped intended with a 60 FPS lock, if you edit the PresentInterval line then its sort of like peeling off the void warranty sticker. I did it too because I hate v-sync and i Just have to accept the occasional glitch.

you can't follow instructions on how to properly sink that even my wife figured out?

Granted you may have other issues, and need more help but seriously throwing a temper tantrum and stomping around like a petulant child from your first post on will only get you ignored.

Which now that I think about it is a good idea.

Caps was necessary because people are not reading the whole post. Yes, I can not lock my FPS. Editing the .ini file and using nvidia inspector does nothing.

Did your wife figure out how to read an entire post before replying? Typing in caps does not represent a "tantrum". Not everyone thinks like you.

What does "properly sink" even mean? Go away.

Now, please do what you said and ignore me and stop derailing my thread.

Name calling is not tolerated on this forum. You need a break from the forums imo.

My post is not a bug report. I'm talking to other gamers about Fallout4.

No problems here...Only issue I have a stuttering if I side step.

Other then that game works fine @60 fps.

So no need to speak that it doesn't play well on every high end rig.

You don't have a high end GPU. 970 is not a high end GPU. It's mid range. So many uninformed people on this forum...how can you own a PC and not know how stuff thats been out for over a year works...

Problem is solved. Refund granted by Steam. Get a new engine Bethesda or you're screwed in the PC gaming market.

Oh gimme a break, so I don't have a 980ti big whoopdie do. Other then that my system is plenty capable. Guess I know how to build a decent gaming rig...

Sorry but if people are having issues with the game it's there PC not the game.

Again no issues here that are game breaking. And they said the game would be locked at 60fps months ago.

Enjoy your refund while we enjoy the game.

Closed for review, as some of the remarks are getting beliigerant. Please bear in mind, this is a forum and people ARE allowed to have differing opinions.

I suggest a review of the forum rules. I'll go through the thread when I have time as a bunch of posts are rude and insulting.
