BP does other things, too.

That's just preposterous!
That sort of thing only happened before the 1800's. We've evolved since, and no longer embrace violence. Especially in Africa.

i want to keep this from being political, but shaka zulu says otherwise...

I wasn't being sarcastic or anything.

i know...but I think it would really be better if people got rid of all this ruckus of Vuvuzelas and just went back to shouting "Zulu! Zulu! Zulu!" to annoy people...when we saw michael caine in Zulu Dawn(or the other movie, think its just called Zulu) i almost screamed.

anyway...back to the topic at hand......

....

....

I got Nothing...other than that i hope things get set straight, and people just back away from the situation and let things go the way they have been planned, we dont need more people fanning the fires on this situation.

Take pictures of a nuclear power plant (from outside it) and the police turn up really fast. And you better have a good explanation as to why you were taking those pictures.

Well, yeah, it's kind of not nice to do that.
In America, England, France, or anything.

Go to an American Military base, stay outside the perimeter and take photos, they don't like that. It's not a angry Govermnent thing, it's not an Angry BP thing, it's just a thing that makes sense.

You don't take pictures of certain things without permission, that's bad. :)
I want to say that I don't believe these statements that BP is involved in a big conspiracy.
Logic dictates that it only a small group that is doing this, not BP. Small group of people who are abusing their power. That's it.

And I never heard of that mother place before now.
Still sounds like a Nun-run website. :)

compare http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2010/6/16/876529/-What-BP-and-NASA-Have-In-Common
this is what it boils down to, completely and nonpolitically.. other than the bit about the almighty bottomline(*).

(*)I would say almighty dollar, as per usual saying, but there are sooo many currencies, corporations, and yes, goverments involved that it really comes down to the bottomline.

I've been saying that for awhile, but I just get called crazy. BP is just their lapdog/scapegoat/enforcement thug.

The thing that bothers me the most, though, is that there wasn't more coverage on the thing in Texas City. You think that that would have been WAY out in the open as more ammunition against BP.

I recall reading something last week about two workers who were cleaning up the oil spill in the gulf having died. But I haven't heard a peep more about that. Anyone know what happened to those two guys?

Oh my. No, I haven't heard about that.

Reminds me of an article I read though, that most, if not all, of the workers during the Exxon-Valdees Crisis are either dead or seriously ill.

You get the same thing here in the Uk. Take pictures of a nuclear power plant (from outside it) and the police turn up really fast. And you better have a good explanation as to why you were taking those pictures.

Just tell them they are for http://assets.nydailynews.com/img/2010/06/30/alg_anna_chapman.jpg photo collection.

Corporations make money. Lots of money.

They can buy rival companies out of business, http://www.freepress.net/ownership/chart/main, and hire "people" to "protect their investments".

People who make lots of money generally want to keep making more money, and try to make more. And it takes money to make money. So their money is going to go to "other things" in order to continue making money.

I'm trying to find the article with google, but I'm turning up a whole fat lot of nothing. Well, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deepwater_Horizon_oil_spill#Health_consequences.

Oh crap, I just did a little poking around - I had no idea all those E-V workers are all dead! The CNN news video I saw on youtube heavily implied that the cause is the dispersents. Wouldn't be surprised, what with BP using http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corexit#Toxicity - what are they trying to do, kill everyone who might file a lawsuit?

I've always been pretty anti corporate, and have had a pretty established lack of faith in government in general, but that just brought me to a whole new level. I'm so sick of the ineffective government and these soulless, exploitive, money oriented corporations that only care about the bottom line. How long will we let this [censored] go on before something is done?

I'm so furious, I'm sickened.

It's kind of frightening, isn't it.

We live in a country where police regularily abuse their "authority". There are only a few things that could actually be done, but most people are too afraid to do anything. Or they are apathetic about it.

Apathy is what has allowed the world to become what it is.
