Does Skyrim look spectacular?

This question is about how you generally feel about the look, everything graphically, of Skyrim.

Looks pretty amazing to me. I'm not a huge graphics person, so if a game is pretty much on par with the other games around the same time, I'm perfectly fine with it.

From the trailer I thought it looked stunning. I think they really improved on distant landscapes, and now the game's going to be full of gorgeous beautiful NPC's!

Skyrim is reminding me a bit more of Gothic III, an excellent large open-world RPG with a large-scale world reactivity you won't find in any TES game. It's graphics trumped Oblivion easily... I'm glad that Todd was finally able to let go of his Morrobaby.

Whoa, voted before I read the first post.
Graphically, yeahs its pretty good, but there are better games for graphics; Crysis, Far Cry 2, Metro 2033, and Call of Pripyat(now that COP Complete is out).
I thought you meant as a whole.

It looks good, but I wouldn't use the word "spectacular."

The Game looks amazing, The Enviroment looks much better, the trees don't look dated at all. I turn on Oblivion and the graphics look good but the trees, the trees they are dated. No question Skyrim will look good graphicly, it isn't Crysis level but who needs a short 15 hour gorgeous game when we can go deep into an underground cave and the enviroment still looks good.

i'm very happy how everything looks. now hopefully, aside from the graphics, hopefully we'll have well written quests, main plot, fun dialogue, memorable characters. i hope the game is dumbed down even more, with some skills being taken away, spellmaking being reworked, etc

Does it look spectacular? No.
Am I satisfied by it? EASILY.
It still looks great, and quite a bit better than Oblivion, but I'm not sure whether you can say it's spectacular. It looks great, and I mean really really great, but it isnt perfect.

I'm curious as to what your definition of perfect is. Based upon my experience I have never seen perfect graphics before (including Crysis 1).

I personally think the graphics look beautiful, but let's be honest...we're all basing our opinions upon what we've seen of an unfinished product. Still too early to truly judge.

Sure Skyrim looks spectacular. It's not the jaw-dropping best graphics ever, like Battlefield 3 for example, but it still has beautiful environments, and full, real-time shadows!
