Does Soul Trap (spell) alert enemies?

I have an oddly specific question and haven't been finding answers by simple searching. Hope someone here knows...

Will you go from "Hidden" to "Detected" if you cast Soul Trap (the Conjuration spell) on an enemy if you have the Silent Casting (Illusion) perk and are a really sneaky character? In other words, does Soul Trap automatically make you detected, or is it more like peeking at someone's inventory while pickpocketing, allowing you to remain hidden?

(Why I am wondering about this: I am doing a no-weapons playthrough on a sneaky character, but I still want to enchant clothing. I want to make sure I will not ruin my unarmed sneak attacks by casting Soul Trap on enemies.)

It counts as an offensive spell so they may or may not detect you depending on your sneak skill level & perks. I would compare it shooting an enemy with a bow or using a destruction spell on them, as long as you're super sneaky and have silent casting, you should be fine.

Ah, I forgot about how you can still stay hidden after shooting someone with an arrow. Thanks ... maybe I'll try this out with an upper-level character who has some perks to spare and see how it works.
