I'm currently doing a little Archmage RP with my pure mage. I finished the college, and now I've been around rooting out "illegal" mages in caves and whatnot. I'm cutting down on fast travel, and stay at inns a little more than I normally do. But I'm getting weary of all the walking and seemingly rewardless cave-delving. Now my question is, does she have any cause to take a side in the war? Now since I'm trying to rp it, I don't want to pick it up it all willy-nilly cause I feel like doing the civil war again. I'm not doing the MQ on this character either. I'm trying to think of reasons I could drop a High Elf into the war, but it's a bit tough.

Got anything?

EDIT: I'm not looking to turn this into a Stormcloak vs. Empire thread. We already have plenty of those.
