Does the Dragonborn have the soul of a Red Dragon?

Post » Sat Jan 23, 2010 7:44 pm

So we know that all Dragonborns, are born with the soul of a dragon but with the main enemy being black dragons/Jills,does our dragonborn have the soul of a red Dragon? they are meant to be good arent they?
just a quick question.

I might have missed a vital part of TES lore here, but dragons don't have different "colours" so to speak, or am I incorrect.?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure TES dragons aren't color-coded like in D&D and other RPG settings.

That's what I thought.

Someone here has been playing too many non-TES games. Heresy, I sayeth.

In Akavir -the dragons homeland- there were originally black and red dragons -no other colours- but the red dragons were enslaved and "eaten" by the Tsaesci whereas the black dragons escaped to Tamriel.

Akatosh's Dragons are not Akaviri Dragons.

Akaviri had Black and Red Dragons, I think lore states the Tsaeci killed all the red Dragons and the Black Dragons fled to the Ka'po'tun. there are also Dragons that went to Morrowind, and -then- left somewhere else.

But these Dragons by lore have nothing to do with Akatosh's Jills.

also I do not think these Dragons are Jillls in Skyrim because the Jills where there to mend time and keep everything together, not burn the *** out of everyone :P

The Dragon born was given a soul by the Gods :D Dragons so far aren't Gods, unless Cipher 8 is spot on and the Dragons are actually Aedra.

Wow that article is incredibly terrible. Let that article be proof to all who say UESP isn't bad for lore.

Their population in Akavir was killed by the Tsaesci, whereas the dragons in Vvardenfell were overrun by the invading cliff racers.

OH MY GOD THAT'S JUST TERRIBLE!
Edit: Dragons killed by Cliff Racers? Truly the most annoying thing ever.

Ehh, unfortunately they do because of that horrible Mysterious Akavir book. The game would be better without it.

Since I will be playing a Prince Adam/He-Man Dovahkinn, he will have the soul of a pink dragon. :chaos:

Actually they weren't killed by the Cliff racers. Thing is, they used to "share" the place, but the Cliff racers took all the food, and the dragons had to leave or else they would have starved to death.

Well, I can't say it's 100% accurate, but I remember a few people talking about this in the forums

I don't think we have the soul of a dragon in us as in red or black.. :homestar:
