Does the Mage's Circlet level with you?

Post » Mon Jan 06, 2014 12:25 pm

I just had a small question on whether items (Mage's Circlet in particular) level with you. I got it on a previous character before and it added +40 magicka and then I just got it on a lower level character and it's only +30. Willthins change or am I stuck with this less- powerful version?

EDIT:

I meant its static but its considered leveled. (doesn't change with you)

On that note, i don't think ANYTHING changes

Nope. It's level is determined when you first receive it, as with all leveled items.

That is the best possible version

OP, no item level with the character, but very little is as good as what you can enchant anyway

The circlet you get from the Archmage, how much it adds to your magicka depends on your level.

Yeah I was only lvl 9 when I got it so I guess I was pretty much the lowest level (enchantment wise)... thx for the answers :). I kinda figured it wouldn't level, but I was hoping :D.

One can always spread out the college quests so that when it comes time to get the circlet, one is a higher level. At least that is what I do, so that I am at the level to receive the +70 when the time comes.

Oh, that's good... I usually just focus on one faction and do all of the quests in a row before even thinking about any other quests. God idea for my next mage... :D

That is the way I do my gals all the time. That way they do not get bored when walking around. See a place they have not been, they have to check it out. My gals do not fast travel, so they have a lot of area to cover. Before you know it, they are high enough in level to get the circlet. lol

Leveled items were my main problem with Oblivion. The change I wanted them to make in Skyrim, was for them to make items level up with you. But the way gear is handled in Skyrim is a nice alternative. Not many items are leveled, I like it. =D
