Does the Number 11 mean anything special? : V

Well, the game comes out 11/11/11 and it was announced on December 11th (12/11/10 lol) and it's said to be released 11 months from the announcement. Anyone think this means something, Or am I just stupid?

I think it's just because it is a cool date that is easy to remember.

They announced at the VGA's, it's not like they picked a random day to announce of their site.

I don't think there is any type of theory with 11/11/11. All the best games or more anticipated usually come out around February or November. November is one of those big times to bring out a big game for the holidays. Being that it's on a Friday is a little strange though.

Well, 11 has always been a "magic" number, I guess. Like people make wishes at 11:11pm. So maybe they will release it on 11/11/11 at 11:11, on the 11th nanosecond of the 11th second.

exactly! Game are normally released on tuesday not friday! The date might mean somthing also the binary (00 11 11 11) comes out as a question mark ('?') on a http://home3.paulschou.net/tools/xlate/ so I wounder if they had something in mind...

There is the 11:11 Enigma as well, which makes no sense but oh well

Might not be 11 though, in the teaser it was II - II - II which might be 3 2s, an overall 6, 33, or just a cool date to release the game

Hm, would the release being on Remembrance/Veteran's Day have anything to do with it? Probably not, but I can't figure this out, but I have a feeling there may be some meaning to the release being on the day that brings up those numbers, and on that year...

It is a very easy to remember date. They won't get it mixed up with all of the other games. And it brings talk to the game. A friend asks you when is Skyrim coming out and you say eleven eleven eleven they will continue the conversation about Skyrim for longer.
