Tis all well and dandy if one was to say "I do not like Heavy Metal, however I acknowlegde and respect your opinion."

People who say Metal is "pointless noise" are ignorant and disrespectful, but I shall not derail this topic with a rant. :)

Metal is probably the most diverse musical genre out there. If people took their time too look for real music, other than the crap rammed down their throats by radio they would find music that is properly talented and that will almost likely include some form of metal. Seriously there are so many genres and sub genres that is can take almost any form.

Mini rant over

P.S this topic is pointless anyway so de railing it would probably improve it

Let's just say, people really need to get over themselves, but it ain't gonna happen because Human beings are stubborn by nature.

Also, LOL at that last sentence.

I thought getting chlamydia would be fun, but that didn't have an end product worth anything either

I sometimes think that punching a chicken in the face would be fun.

Atmospheric DnB is much better (*points to sig*).
This is just annoying imo. Though it might be cool for a club.
I hate it when they simply punch the melody & beats in your face.

I liked it, I mean I wouldn't listen to it while playing skyrim, but as it's own thing I thought it was pretty good. Why does everyone hate it? :sadvaultboy:

I love how it was mostly the metal fans who preached open-mindedness towards diverse musical styles who ended up dismissing this song as pure crap. Real open-minded, guys. Nobody's telling you to like it, but just because you don't like it doesn't make it bad.

Didn't make it very far... had to stop it when it turned (more) into painful buzzing/noise. Ears hurt. :sadvaultboy:

Not really my thing. (And certainly wouldn't fit in-game.)

...as an aside, I really don't get all these goofy made-up music "genre" names that people keep tossing around. :teehee:

How do you feel about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathcore?

In all seriousness, I can appreciate most music on its own, but things like this detract from Skyrim's feeling. I don't understand how people can listen to Heavy Metal nonstop while playing a fantasy RPG, but that's me. Art is expressing yourself etc.

True, but that's probably just what music critics think about terms like "triple-A multi-platform first-person open-world hardcoe action-RPG."
