Hey guys.

I ran into the "Davison Hostility" bug, and instead of trying to run away and wait for 24 hours, I used the console, clicked him and entered the "stopcombat" (or thereabouts) command. This prevented me from getting the "Come Fly With Me" acheivement but all subsequent acheivements work just fine now.

So the other acheivements work just fine, but I'm wondering if the hardcoe acheivement works. Does it work by noticing you've had hardcoe mode on for as long as you've clocked gametime? Or does it work by simply noticing hardcoe mode is turned on at the time of the story-mode's completion? Will I still get the acheivement for it?

I haven't tried hardcoe mode yet, but from what i've heard you can't even press the tilde key by accident without debunking the hardcoe achievement. so to answer your question, yes AFAIK.

Open fallout.ini in your FalloutNV folder in your user directory and find the line bAllowConsole=1. Change it to bAllowConsole=0 to disable the tilde key in game. No worries.

I save by console, so I can't get hardcoe unless I save manually every few minutes? That's stupid...

I'm sure in some thread somewhere else, there is somebody saying "you can save any time you want in hardcoe? That's stupid!"

Why the hell would you save via the console? Your limited to 1000 slots, Not 1000 saves.

Also, it merely disables achievements for the session you used the console, Save and reload, Suddenly achievements again.

What's so difficult about pressing the F5 key? (Quicksave)

I only use the main saves when entering an area for the first time or when being presented a certain choice that may flub the direction I want for that particular play through.
