With the recent The Witcher 3 controversy, do you think that this will ruin Fallout 4 and TES announcements?
I think this is a horrible controversy that actually hinders the development and announcements of Video Games.
Because Developers will never show Game Trailers anymore if they want to avoid being the next CDPR, and Especially Gaming images or screen shots of their current development process. People would take video captures and anolysis every single polygon , every pixel on the screen shot and compare it with a game to be released in 2 years. If Bethesda comes out and said Fallout 4 release Next year, guess what, even more Controversy if the Game Trailer they show have higher Pixel and Polygon count than the game that would come out next year. ( because apparently its a sin to show a beautiful game )
I always thought that the Most important aspect of a game is the ability to have it actually play on Majority of computer rigs so that its not catering only to the High End Users. But apparently if a Game developer shows sharp edges on a building , you must have that sharp image even if you have to have it run at 10fps, because the gaming community will yell and scream if you don't.
What is your thoughts on the impact this current controversy will have on the future of Gaming announcements and will they negatively impact the development process or will this controversy actually help.
I ask because I am eagerly awaiting E3 for the Fallout 4 announcement and the next TES and Dishonored announcements but I would hate Bethesda to become the next CDPR that would show beautiful teasers and trailers and then have the community hold them to it , especially for games that probably will not come out till next year or two.
Or do you think Bethesda is really smart and is only now announcing the games to be released later this year and they know not to show anything to the community because they understand that people just craves controversy and not the actual game anymore. That is why no news of any of these games were ever released.
