So yea I am Canadian and every american KNOWS that we are technologycally impaired and that we travel with dog sleds. Therefore, I think that dog sleds should be one of the possible usable mounts in the game

I like the idea of Dog Sleds any addition that is optional is a good one in my book!

Another cool feature would be that you could use it as a chest at the same time if your inventory is full

Not sure how well it would fit lore wise. I don't think Nords are known for using dog sleds.

sticking to the currently existing lore is the best way to restrict innovation in the game. lore can always be added and can sometimes be adjusted for the sake of making a better game. it is more important.

If we could add mounts to the game that already exist in the lore but haven't been used yet, that would be better. A dog sled just doesn't seem right and would probably require alot of work to get right. Personally i would prefer horses or a tameable snow beast. Who knows maybe by the end you could tame a drake or dragon.

there nothing stupidier to unfit the lore than taming a dragon in elder scrolls. they are [censored] beasts of destruction and carnage not pets. dogs exist in oblivion making a dog sled is just a logical evolution in anyworld where dog exists. on top of that making dog sled does nto exclude the existence of other mounts such as horse or wooly mammoths

Do not see how dog sleds can be lore unfriendly? Dogs are common enough and a simple dog sled is easy to make.
However putting them in the game would require lots of work. for it to work well the sled has to follow the dog while moving up and down independently, now in real lift you use multiple dogs increasing the problem

The Nords are based on Celtics and Vikings. Neither used dog sleds.

celtics and vikings didnt use magic either. your argument is invalid. nords are not a formal copy of celtic and viking culture

The argument is not invalid. I just think it would look silly on a Nord, some other form of tameable beast such as a mammoth would feel more heroic and be a better choice with less time needed to code it all together.

Vikings didn't use horsecombat... that's why the danish lost England....

so if we follow your logic it would kill you if bethesda added horsecombat, wouldn't it? And you probably don't want mammoth mounts either since they were extinct durring that age...

Well yes, HIS arggument is invalid because Nord's mostly don't use magic...

Celtics used horse combat, hence the nords being based on a mix of the two with some other influences. I can almost guarantee there will not be dog sleds, there has not been any mention and it is nowhere in the lore. Mammoths are alive lore wise, there are many in the mountains of Skyrim.

I never said I wanted dog sleds... and I know next-to-nothing 'bout Celtics... I want bear mounts, wolf mounts, cliffracer mounts, mammoth mounts, and tusked brisleback mounts...

type garrys mod in the steam search field if you have steam and there it is it costs 10 bucks. and i cant link you the sled since i did it in garrys mod and never saved it. but anyway it was pretty easy to make and btw it uses havok physics so it should realy be easy to make for them

Just wanted to say that the norse and celts DID use magic, and it was prevalent in their stories. You can debate about whether it was real or not, I suppose.
