As of 1.8, Dog Tags (Foot Fetish & Marathon Man) achievable?

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 4:51 pm

Hi,
I haven't tried sniping anyone in the foot yet, but can anyone confirm with me if these dogtags are achievable yet? I dont want waste time in a match trying to snipe someone's feet, or carrying the relay aimlessly for as long as i can

icic.. one of my friends Zeevil has ever gotten the Foot Fetish before...

perhaps the hitbox has changed since the patch...making it harder for the game to register a foot shot...

as for Marathon Man, maybe the server resets the 10mins timer each round... or you're supposed to carry it for 10 mins in the same server.... or something in-game resets the timer

I'm getting pretty freaking tired of Crytek not fixing known issues.

Hmm i noticed that... does those numbers correct itself after a Nanosuit Reset?

I've not done a reset yet until i complete all my assessments....Ive only left with Game Type Assessments; and 2 of the hardest assessments which is getting 'Psycho' up to level 3... and also headshotting enemies who have Deflection.
Oh and also completing level 3 of playing Liberty Island... since its most underplayed.

The rest are completed.

I hope this is all not going to waste :(

I'm trying to reach the 100% but foot fetish marathon man and there is no spoon are not unlockable and also it's all over because to reach 100% operative status you have to complete all the game but is impossible because 22/23 nanosuit module there are , and 62 to 66 weapons attachments sry for my english

How do you do the psycho kill? Is it 15 kills without any deaths?
so far i only have 4 out of 6 psycho kills for level 3.

as for Headshot enemies with Deflection, i only have 3 out of 5

haha, i saw that.. i was lucky i got that assessment complete.. i thought it would be impossible...

I did it on Skyline, spend most of my time at the lower levels, and occassionaly up in the backyard area near the entrance to the Gym... and of course with Ceph Airstrike helping me out.
I would say i was lucky because there were a lot of average and new players in that server, who didnt know that they had to cloak to hide away from the Ceph Strike.

Another map that 25 kills without dying is possible is Lighthouse as a sniper, or as someone killing the camping snipers... and in Wall Street, if you follow a certain route that avoids the main action areas, with some additional help from Max Nanosuit

What i wonder is:

I guess both of you know that there is a dog tag called "Eternal Warrior" (rebooting 5 times), its probably not needed for "its all over.." but still, if you are collecting them, you probably want it. So here it comes the question, are you going to reboot even after what you just did? In other words, losing the progress you have while keeping the dog tags? or you just wont reboot at all?

edit: oh yea, there is also "Up for more", which you can do after 1 nanosuit reboot.

to SLI-756, if you got a good weapon, you can try to shoot the Ceph ship too... and get 300 points. I havent personally tried that although i've accidentally destroyed one with an Orbital Blast.

I've yet to test out how the Ceph Ship really targets players...cos sometimes u can be uncloaked and it wont shoot you....What i noticed is there's some kind of charge-up sound it makes when it detects you i think... if you cloak, the charge-up sound stops...also i think the Ceph ship turns towards nearby enemies? I've seen abit of it, but i cant be bothered to watch longer.
u can test it out and share with us here... cos it can help on saving cloak energy if you know its not gonna aim you.

to Pacifista... yes i will reboot after i complete all the assessments (to get the Dog Tag)...cos some of them are rather hard to complete..so since im close to completing it and getting the tag... ill reboot after that.. (Cos i believe the dog tags are still retained rite?).... i guess eventually it will take quite some time to complete all of these again after the 5th reboot...

Yeah, when i was using the gauss attachment i used to shoot them down, but i believe it's 600 points you get, or maybe this was just during the x2 xp weekend, i dunno, but thanks anyways. :)

*Next project is muting the nanosuit enabled voice, way too loud for me.

if you have the nano module Covert Ops leveled up to max... u dont need to cloak from the ceph ship... you will have a bonus protection from it...
oh and i believe the 600 is from the double xp weekend...
btw how many gauss shots did you take to shoot it down?

one day when im free ill experiment with the Ceph Ship to see when exactly to know if its spotted you and going to shoot... then ill share the tips here...

2.

Also the Ceph works like that: if it targets someone and shoot, you can walk around without stealth, if it isn't shooting anyone it means it will probably take the 1st target, in range, that is not using stealth or covert ops.

That said you can see where it is shooting by looking to the "Gatling". For gatling i mean:

(Cos i believe the dog tags are still retained rite?)....

yea you wont lose them after a reboot. Just watch the disconnection, already lost 3 dog tags and can't take them back now.. sigh. Another thing to keep in mind that after a reboot a new part in the operative status get unlocked and you need to do that in order to clear the game out. This part isn't -that- easy.

*Nanosuit Reboot Assessments*
New skill assessment set has opened. At level 1 all have a 7500 XP reward, and are mostly get 500 headshots with a specific gun. (copy pasted from a youtube video)

Oh thanks for the tip Pacifista...

i also read about people losing tags after reboot...which also scares me...

my question is, are these tags achievable again? like can you still work to get them again?
or are those forever unachievable after you've done a reboot...cos this will really ruin someone's hard work

Well i personally lost the following ones:

-Kill 5000 players
-1000 times in stealth
-10 times MVP
-Complete the support bonus tab.

Now of these 4 i managed to get back only the last one.... "Team player". The others are pretty much lost until Crytek fix it. I lost "team player" (the support bonus one) cause i rebooted right after i obtained it. Lost the other 3 just because right after a game i got a DC.

So, as long as you see a "star" on the dog tag/s, don't reboot, don't disconnect ( i know its hard :p) and don't get kicked. If one of these happen, it will make them disappear and you will have to do everything again. Loads of players lost the "Born again" dog tag, right after a reboot, not sure if a 2nd reboot gave them the dog tag.
