Is Dogmeat the only companion that can live with us?

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 5:04 am

Since we can build a doghouse for Dogmeat, we should have options to allow our favorite companions to either move into our house or offer to build them a house of their own in one of our settlements. This way, when we dismiss them, they're all safe in one place, like the casino strip in New Vegas.

Plus, with weapons and armor we give them, they can pull their weight with town defenses, fending off raiders when we're not around.

Lol just read this now after posting something similar, i had the same theory more or less since you can have a human and non human companion im FNV you should be able to in F4 so they can help defend your settlement

Yeah since I saw in the demo you can put more than one bed in a room.

Unless attacks are random dice rolls that only happen when you fast travel to your settlement or step outside your house. Similar to Skyrim with those annoying vampire raids.

I can already see the complaint threads now. "Raiders are killing my merchants and brahmin caravans!!" "Gun turrets are like water pistols for high leveled raiders!!" Lol!

Lol, put a plasma mine in the toilet. It would be cool if we could set up traps like motion censors or tripwires with c4 or rigged shotguns.

Well tripwires were one of the only traps in other fallouts so i'd say they would come back! Also from watching the E3 Gameplay i can tell there is this laser trip wire that kills them instantly

That would be awesome, and we could make a house for each one or a barracks for all of them! (any excuse to build more structures XD)

I think the laser trip wire only triggers the flamethrower. If you look closely it appears that a bullet hits the raider in the left leg as soon as he goes through the laser trip wire, making it seem as if it kills him. This is just my theory, of course.

Oh i didn't notice that i just asumed that the raider died when he touched the laser, but your idea makes more sense, maybe you can hook up the tripwire with another item such as turret, flame thrower or rigged shotgun because we know from the gameplay you can connect the genorator to another item which holds the wire to the light so maybe you can get different parts to connect to the tripwire to make it work
